Hey guys, is it true that all vaio-vgn series laptops have the same bios?
'cuz i have modded the vgn bios from the original vaio ftp server, with the special bios tool using the dynamic function.
I could'nt find an rw file for the sony vaio vgn-ns11z/s.
so i'd used an rw file from the sony vaio vgn-ns11s/s.

If all bioses are the same, can somebody give me a link?

This isn't an actual bios mod request.

    Thanks in advance.

Almost...the first couple letters after the VGN indicate which ones likely share the same BIOS. For example, I had a VGN-TX670P that I wanted to modify but there was no official BIOS update. I found some other VGN-TX's BIOS R0052V1 and it flashed without any problems. Then I did a SLIC mod and it worked like a champ.

I assume that you modded VGN-NS???? BIOS R0200Y3 right? Since the BIOS already had a Vista SLIC 2.0, doing the dynamic mod shouldn't require an RW-Everything report at all...that's required for SSV2 mods.

Okay, so if use the vgn-ns11s/s bios for the z/s laptop, it should'nt give me any problems?
Then it saved me a lot of work.
Just flash it as instructed. Thanks for the help!

boot into your bios and look for the ROM name, I have a CS21 that I ended up using like a CS27 or something bios but the ROM was exactly the same.

Wjen you get the ROM name search this form for it. Lavalys Everest may even tell you or CPUID
