The TimeBomb in 7955 expired on 02-07-2011. Did anyone remove the timebomb completely. Which TimeBomb Remover did you use? Did it really work?
I have tried both tb removers, acted like Mrx47, i.e. apply tb remover, reboot, and both didn't work. However, the interesting thing is, both Thomas and blue team had confirmed that they have tested and found that it worked, both are trustworthy person, so I guess there might be a catch there. Maybe, just maybe, they first set the BIOS date, then applied the tb remover and checked if there were no reboot, in this case there might be a possibility that the tb remover is only effective until another re-start of the machine. I don't use 7955 as main OS and is tired of re-installing and waiting for 2 hours doing nothing, may be some guys would care to try it?
So both of the methods don't work? What do we do now? We have only 3 days left. This is my 100th post in MDL. I am an "MDL Member" now.
Both BlueDefuse and Timebomb killer were worked upon well.Newly compiled slc.dll s.But due to call from some other dll/dlls, timebomb still remains active. So options remaining are, i) Install Windows 7. ii)Install build 7989 if your cpu is x64 capable. iii)Install Windows 7,then run 7989 on Virtual Machine.(If you are very desparate about Windows 8) iv)Accept that there will be continual restarts every two hours and regular genuine center pop ups(think it as a normal thing); and continue using 7955. v)Change BIOS date, block internet time synchronization and continue using 7955.(If you are not bothered about the date on your PC and Antivirus updates)
Don't you understand it is "impossilbe" for some users to install the latest leak (x64) on old computers??
I know, nobody likes downgrade, then try whatever you can, you may even disable the timebomb yourself!
