phoenixtool v1.00 worked for me for Fujitsu-Siemens Pi1536 laptop. BIOS already had SLIC 2.0 in it. Used last issued BIOS, v1.25, from FSC and FSC[FSC-PC-LTP]2.1.bin and associated xrm-ms certificate. Tool in auto mode selected Dynamic mode.

With SLIC 2.0 and original xrm-ms Vista was activated. After modifying BIOS and rebooting, Vista not activated. After installaing associated certificate Vista now shows as activated. Now I need to install Windows 7!

I guess this BIOS mod is at the simpler end of the spectrum, but thanks anyway.

Hex compare of original and modified BIOS shows only SLIC part changed. Less difference than mod posted here:

forums mydigitallife info showthread php?p=112791 (post #1402, page 141)

    The latter used SSV2 method.

This is my first post. I have played with the (internal) mydigitallife link to identify another post on the site, without it being an active link

Both win7 and xpsp3 (Chinese) give error 9. It seems lovelymangold is from China also... Is the OS language the probable cause?

Error opening DELL Adamo 13 BIOS (Phoenix bios).
Error message: Error 9 - Index was outside the bounds of the array.
I'm using Windows 7 English with Format, Location and Language for non-Unicode programs set to Chinese (Simplified, PRC)/China.

@YEN, Instead of renaming the old SLIC(53 4C 49 43) to SLAC(53 4C 41 43) or any other, can we use the following hex values instead (00 00 00 00) or (FF FF FF FF)? Or will this cause a problem?

In the end, after flashing modifikatsirovannogo BIOSa when viewed in SLIC_DUMP_TOOLKIT picture remains unchanged, although modifications phoenix tools wrote that Slic successfully ask.
I understand with a similar problem faced not one myself. Who has any thoughts on this matter.
