Keep 'replace existing SLIC table ID' ticked and ONLY change SLAC to OEMS. Don't change anything else.

My BIOS does not have slic table, when I modify, I can use any HP slic version, right? Is there any different between those version?

After I tried to mod my BIOS, the file is the same size as before, even though the Hash value are different. isn't that, the mod added the slic table, and keep everything, if so, the size should be bigger, right? Why do I get the same size as before? I see it is the same size as the untouch BIOS, does that mean I lost some function of my BIOS after I modify my BIOS?

    Please explain me those concern.

    Thanks

No......every bios has got its fixed size. There are 'empty' places (FFh bytes). If you add a SLIC the module will be added to that empty space. The bios size must remain the same, always! Any bios with a different size doesn't work, it's like an image.
You may check some official bioses from your OEM for the same model and have a look at their sizes. You'll notice that they are all the same, too. The phoenix tool doesn't remove anything, except an old SLIC2.0 at dynamic method.

It's like a USB device. You have always the same amount to store on it, let's say 1GByte. You can store data on it until it's full. Anyway the size of the device is always 1 GByte. ;)

No go on Compaq C770US (C700)

This tool tried to brick an Compaq C700 (C770US exact model) laptop. I was able to recover using the Insyde flash recovery method. Just a note!!
    Nice tool still!!

Probably need to change SLAC to OEMS or similar in advanced options. I think these BIOSCOD2 size failures are due to this. Will check. Often can be SLIC though.....

Yen or Andyp But she was there a word write instead of "SLAC" if the tool does not do original SLIC procedure by the end, but get an error. I had the same case, which is Andyp remember, because I do not do SLIC bin TP-6F Lenovo. I am removing a tick and then the procedure is going to end. This could explain lepoče for all what is best in this case. Thank you and happy 2010!
