I have dell 1558 n-series with BIOS A11. I tried svctag 3.4 but it halts after choosing "Y" when asked whether I want to change service tag or not.

Then I wanted to use "Phoenix SLIC Mod 1.64". It stops at some point and shows the following error (Unable to reintegrate BIOSCOD04.ROM).

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

Ok, something weird is going on here. I've got Andy's tools under Win7's "Documents\__AndyP's SLIC Tools" and then extracted to a folder matching the zip file name (ex: phoenixtool164). Only starting with v1.64 does the icon not display. When I move the "phoenixtool164" to the "Documents" or C:\Temp folders, the icon appears.

Andy - I know this is just a cosmetic issue, but did something change with how you specify the embedded icon? All previous versions display the icon just fine.

And you use version no ????
    Any options?

No need to produce countless versions that do not work, using a tool that the end user could just do himself...
