Update: Someone has kindly tested the 1.70 of the tool with 2 MSI P67 boards and it worked on both. I have found some erronous assumptions in the code generation for SSV2 SSV2 is ALWAYS going to be more risky than dynamic because it has to generate code based on code found in one of the modules, and there are subtle differences. This is why the P8P67 Pro mod failed. Still consider SSV2 EFI to be somewhat experimental until more experience is gained. Dynamic should be better but I am still waiting for formal tests on the MSI boards. Andy
Damn. Are you able to recover, and if so, are you happy to test if I can see what the problem is. Thanks Andy
I've tried the crashfree and AMIBOOT.ROM recovery methods, but nothing works. I'd like to help you test, but at this point it looks like I'm either going to have to find someone with an eeprom programmer or exchange the board. Sorry.
Pls, report back ArtVandelae I own a Asus P8P67 Pro, my CPU might arrive tomorrow or the day after. I really want to continue use the existing Win7 installation. It would be nice, if the tool worked fine.
I am getting one of the Asus P8P67 boards and am considering buying an eeprom prgrammer. Anyone with knowledge of programmers know if this a good one, True-USB PRO GQ-4X Willem Programmer. When I get my programmer I will be happy to test some bios files for these new boards. Thanks.
Hi, As mentioned before, a bios mod bricked my Slate.. Now my question (since the boards can't be replaced that easily as desktop systems..): which chip is the BIOS chip? Any way to find out? Or does anyone knows the location on those Pegatron MasterPad (Lucid, UEFI bios) variants? That way i could try to install a new preflashed chip or try a hotflash.. (I have a second Slate) Thanks, Allegro16.
