This worked a treat first time after getting the X/RSDT error on every modded BIOS I tried (both self-modded and downloaded).

Was pulling my hair out until I found this post.

    Thanks andyp!

Hello everyone, and THANKS andyp for your amazing tool(s)!!!
I successfully modded P8P67 EVO BIOS ver. 1502 with Phoenix Tool 1.84 (used "Dynamic") and works perfect.
    All the best!

P.S. I just saw 1.85 is born :) Should I redo the mod with 1.85?

If your current mod works, then I wouldn't touch it. But what I would do is re-create the mod using v1.85 and make sure that it produces an identical modded BIOS as your current one (i.e. use a hash checker like HashTab).

    Hi
having a go at bios modding a sony VGN-N38E LAPTOP all seems to go well using the tool but when I add the certificate it says "complete slic 2.0 sony vaio in ACP16.rom does not match certificate x1 sony vaio 2.1 bin matches certificate" ( is this ok to proceed ) if I proceed all appears to go fine it says file completed ok.
Also do I flash this sony with the tools phlash 17 ph161700.exe because I read elsewhere in mylifedigital to use a dedicated sony flasher ??

    thanks in advance

Yes, you were right. I did re-modding with 1.85 and hashes are identical (checked with HashTab)!
