I have a Toshiba C850-P16 PART NO. PSKC8E-0DK01UEP with Serial Number 8C090359R. I wish to reuse the old laptop for my son's first PC. i will buy more ram (it have only 4 and maybe buy to 8 or 16 if it support) and maybe change is Intel core i3 2310M CPU to another one faster now that the old cpu are cheap, but for this i need to find the last update to is motherboard the one i have is 1.60 Does some have it or can make one from another one that i have donwload but didn´t try to install because may brick the bios (TOSHIBA SATELLITE C850-16R ARTIKELNUMMER PSKC8E-0DR008GR BIOS V6.80 MAIN 4MB BIOS) that is in bin file and i even don´t know how to use
8GB DDR3 SODIMMs are dirt cheap these days, just max out the RAM. Don't bother going beyond a i5 on this thing unless you can get a i7-QM cheap or free from a dead laptop.
