i have a 64 bit HP n=machine with a G620 intel process. Trying to install windows 8 pro using the following iSO - en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso. (verified using hashcheck)

The install process asks a key. Enter -
XKY4K-*****-*****-*****-CRYQH. After a couple of minutes get a message that the key is not valid.

Help. What am i doing wrong?

That's a Professional Retail Key! The last 5 digits existing in several other keys as well.

These standard keys are just for installing windows 8. They don't activate windows 8.

Yen, your statement on the key issue reads like ... a little bit ok as it is standard keys. Has policy changed and these technet keys can be displayed now or what is the current status? If ok, I will no longer write answers in posts with the quest for hiding these serials.
Your reply on this is greatly appreciated
    Thank you

edit: as Yen edited the above post and masked the key, my question is answered. > keys still must be masked.
