my HP DV3T-2000 CTO got the same issue. I flashed wrong version (F.21 while old version is F.07). I downloaded wrong SoftPad file on HP website. I tried to do as instruction in these posts of topic. But when the led turn on. It has no activity seems that the USB stick is being read. Anyone can help me? PS: I use Windows + B key combination to turn on BIOS Recovery mode. I also have a original BIOS file of this laptop now. I backed up by WinFlash tools from other laptop which is the same series. Thank you.
Hi everyone. I have an Acer Aspire 5320 to which i flashed the incorrect BIOS. The problem now is that i can't seem to recover from this, because the laptop doesn't respond anymore to the power button. when i just plug in the powercord without battery i don't see any led's on. when i put in the battery and the powercord, the battery light is on - color orange. after a while it begins to blink (on off on off)... i tried the fn-esc and wind-b keys but nothing happens, the system won't power on... Any ideas? Thanks!
I have the same issue. I also try a external HDD, not USB stick as other member suggest but it's no different. That's bad. I think I should take it to HP care

Acer with bricked bios Had the same problem last month on an SAcer 7720G, bricked laptop due to incorrect bios flashing, no leds at all. Repair through Acer will result in mainboard replacement against high costs. Found a company flashbios.org. They were able to repair my notebook within a week against a very reasonable cost, ~125 Euro. This was well worthe the investment. Regards, Blek

Rename your BIOS file to bios.wph and copy it to your: Flopy, USB Stick, USB Flopy. what is that meaning..is that means to go to toshiba site and to get the bios file from that site and to renamed or what..can somebody give me step by step here..thanks
Speaking about Dell notebooks, flash recovery module is the part of the updatable BIOS. I.e. if completely different BIOS is flashed – it won’t be any recovery available. I’m not going to discuss, why recovery block is in fact part of the very same BIOS we are trying to recover and therefore can be damaged as well - there are reasons behind it. I guess, no other OEM is different.
