Hmm, are you sure you did the right steps to start recovery (key combination)?
You also can copy the file onto USB pen drive (fat32 formatted) and or CD.....

This is the step that i do:

    1. Turn off pc and disconnect power chord and battery
    2. Plug the USB Floppy Disk with the only file ICL50HW.fd inside
    3. Push and hold Fn+Esc
    4. Push, for 1 second, the power button, keeping Fn+Esc pressed
    5. The USB FDD start blink and i leave Fn+Esc button

After that my fdd blink for 3/4 minutes, after that it complitly stop blinking but the pc fan is alwarys active. After fdd stop blinking the pc do nothing also for some hour. When a lot of time is passed i manually power off pc removindi power cable, i try to restart but nothing append.
I don't really know what i can do....
    Thanks.

    What have you tried already?
Have you tried a USB thumb drive or CD??? Format fat32.
It's reported to work with it.
You are using a USB FDD. You also can try to burn it on CD

    Nothing to do....

Hi yen, and again thank for your precious help.
I have tried with a floppy formatted in FAT and also a DVD-RW all with only the file ICL50HW.fd

I have also tried to change the external FDD with another model and also changed the floppy disk.

Now i have noticed that the led of the FDD il always turned on, but i am not sure the fdd is been reading because i don't fell the sound (TOC) of the FDD.

i havw no re-burn the cd rom, when i release the power button the led of the cd light up but after 3 sec it light off, after a minute of light off the led light on again but again, alfter 3 sec i light off and do nothing.

It seem that the CD and the FDD are not readed.

It's reported to work with usb flash drive.

    Hmm,

you did the procedure right? Check #61 for more details.

You have tried the 1.42 version (CL50142A.fd from dos flasher renamed)

What exactly has caused the bad flash? Have you flashed a wrong bios? Was it a mod? Was it a common update?

You can try an older version e.g. version 1.33 (check the name with andy's tool again to asure it's the same for recovery...)

Do you still have the 1.45 version you have tried to flash? Is it made for your model?

Check for its recovery name...and hope it's different.;)
If you can't manage to recover then I'm afraid of bootblock damage which could have occurred during flash process of 1.45...

    Hello,
I have a HP dm3-1039wm laptop. I bought it used from ebay. I can't get into the bios and I have tried everything here. The latest bios download is 3656F28.fd so I have tried 3656.bin and .fd. I don't even know if I have the right key stokes because every time I try, it just boots right up into windows. I have tried the winkey plus B, but no luck. I have also tried fn plus esc. I have gone over the instructions several dozen times and I'm just not getting it.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks,
    Doug

Ok, I actually got it to work on my DM3-1039wm. It went into the flashing the bios after hitting windows key plus b. However, when I tried to get into the bios, it still prompts for a password. The only reason I was trying to do this in the first place is because I bought the pc used and I have no idea what the bios password is to get into the settings.

Please, can anyone help with getting me into this bios? I want to turn on something so I can try to create a vm on this laptop.

    Thanks,
    Doug
