Sorry to come off as ignorant but my head is spinning with all the info here. I have an Asus ROG Strix X-570E board (win 10 bld 18363 pausing before update to 1909) and had installed the latest Realtek driver package on the Asus Website "Version 6.0.8751.1". After isntalling I have Asus-themed applet titled Realtek Audio Console. Here it lists "Speakers" and " Realtek digital audio output" under playback devices and a " Device advanced settings" concerning audio jack connections. I noticed that I have no mixer or environment controls when I select "speakers" but do have basic volume levels, balance etc. If I choose "Realtek Digital Output" I do have a mixer and environments but I am not using digital output. I searched and cannot find sonic studio installed. Some quick notes and questions: 1. Are my current running version of the drivers a safe and good performing set with no know security or performance issues? Are these UAD? I think so as I do not have any realtek-specific audio control system tray control and instead just the standard MS speaker one labeling Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio) at the top when clicked . 2. What would be the advantage(s) of updating the drivers? 3. If it is advisable to update, what version/set should I use for the same functions I currently have (no mixer, environment etc. for "speakers")? Would I need to do a clean install (via the steps outlined in instructions accompanying downloads) or can install over the top? 4. Not sure yet if I want or need but if I wanted to have the mixer, environment and other controls for "speakers" can that be done and what version/set should I install (clean or install over the top)? Do I need to install something like sonic studio separately or is the same functionality elsewhere? If sonic studio, what version and where to download? Any cautions or important steps? I can already sense the eye-rolling and sighing over my questions so do apologize. I spent a good amount of time going through much of the info here but not able to tie it all together to feel confident of steps to take. Thanks for your understanding and in advance for any assistance! Finn

------------------------------------------ @MoKiChU : Thanks very much! Still have a few previous parts of questions unanswered so hope yourself or someone else can reply? Here they are: 1. If I wanted to stick to UAD, are my current running version of the drivers a safe and good performing set with no know security or performance issues? They are version 6.0.8751.1 2. If it is advisable to update the UAD drivers for better performance, resolving known issues, compatibility etc. would I need to do a clean install (via the steps outlined in instructions accompanying downloads) or can I install over the top per that section of ionstructions? I believe the appropriate version you linked to on 2/21 for my system would be (Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) : Drivers : 6.0.8899.1 WHQL [18/02/2020]. Thank you again for the kind help. Finn
1 - Yes, it safe (no vulnerability at all with UAD), but i don't know if there are perf issue with this version. 2 - Follow scrupulously the CLEAN INSTALL then INSTALL process of Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from my latest update post. If you install/use Sonic Studio III, know that the equalizer of Realtek Audio Control/Console is hidden and deported on Sonic Studio III.
