This is the VERY FIRST thing I do when I clean install Win8.x & Win10 OSes on any PC - to disable Fast Startup right after install

Realtek updates thread in Github by alanfox2000 was archived and set readonly. Does it means no updates in future ?

Both @alanfox2000's Realtek Audio repositories have been archived because access to Realtek FTP server, which was the source for them, has been cut off on 21st February 2020 (exactly 2 weeks ago). Access hasn't been regained since then.

I'm using the ROG SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC S1220 on a ROG Zenith Extreme Alpha board. I have tried many drivers and not sure which drivers to use. I have tried the one's listed under Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3) 8899 but I get lot's of static even with Fastboot and Hibernation disabled on a fresh install of Win10, even before I did it I was also getting the static.

I've always kept Hibernation disabled on all my Win10 install's, before the 8899 I was not getting static but would lose all audio and only a reboot would fix it, I've tried a few of the alaxfof2000 github release's and they would do the loss of audio issue's, normally I did the FF00 release's since the one's under ASUS refused to install.

    Hi,

Which Windows 10 build do you use ?

    - If you use Windows 10 64 bit 1903/19H1/18362.x or more recent, follow scrupulously the CLEAN INSTALL then INSTALL process of Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3) from my latest update post.

    - If you don't use Windows 10 64 bit 1903/19H1/18362.x or more recent, update your Windows 10.

I have Windows 10 64-bit 1909 (which I try to keep up-to-date) and the v8899.1 with SS3 drivers posted by MoKiChU are working well on my ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wifi) Motherboard - no static here.

BTW, I've noticed that the SS3 effects on my PC don't work at all, UNTIL you open the Sonic Studio 3 software while playing music in Spotify or similar, after installing new drivers. Once you've done that one time, SS3 continues to work fine with speakers; though when I switched to headphones I needed to do the same thing for them as well to get the effects to activate.

@MoKiChU Hi, I would like you to know that I admire your work since the time of the ROG forum, I didn't really understand why you finished your wonderful work there, but until today I found out that you are still working here, there is a fixed post of yours so can we accompany you? If not, could you tell me the best updated driver for Maximus X Code audio?

I would like to know if there is any fix for the custom equalizer in sonic studio III, the custom equalization always changes to none, I always have to select the custom mode to return to the custom equalization previously, Is there any way to update SS3 SR3 to UAD Drivers?

    Thank you.

Thank you for helping to sort this out, however both HDA and UAD drivers seem to have this problem. I just tried the ones you suggested and had to uninstall them too.
Using High Definition Audio from Microsoft 10.0.18362.356, I'am able to adjust front panel audio without problem that appears in Realtek (UAD and HDA) driver.
My HardwareID if it would help is:
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_18496893

@MoKiChU How can I tell if my motherboard uses a DTS driver or not?

Sorry, I pass my turn (stay with the Microsoft built-in drivers if it's ok for you).

Hi, I have an issue as well. I'm having a Gigabyte TRX40 AORUS XTREME mb which has the following in terms of audio:
    1. Realtek® ALC4050H codec+Realtek® ALC1220-VB codec (rear panel audio)
    2. Realtek® ALC4050H codec+ESS SABRE9218 DAC (front panel audio)
    3. Support for DTS:X® Ultra
    4. High Definition Audio
    5. 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
    6. Support for S/PDIF Out
I've tried with they're drivers and the only thing that works is the realtek console which does not have any eq of any sort and the default sound is really annoying. (DTS X does not work at all and DTS Sound unbound I have to pay for it since DTS X is not getting detected as installed for license).
I've tried many custom realtek drivers but none worked (when looking at driver version these do not get updated with the ones installed) and when looking at the APO service which is used by DTS X is constantly crashing when detecting any jack, my eq is supposedly in the DTS X software and not in realtek control panel.
My question is next: What realtek driver could I use such that the old realtek control panel works as that was gold? I don't care about dts or any other software but still if anyone knows how to make it work would be a genius.

    Thank you!
