Thanks again, Mokichu. I found the source of the speaker's tinny distortion sound was the casing of the speaker being a bit loosely seamed together. With the amplification level having been set to extreme after install of drivers, the volume level was higher than I normally run at and created the sound. Tightened up the casing, set amplification to performance and all is good. Finn
Well, I see exactly what you're talking about. If you are interested, I posted about that here (at bottom at bottom of my post) sometime ago.
Hi MoKiChU, Thank you for all your hard work, it is very much appreciated. I have used your drivers previously to update my ASUS PRIME-A board without a problem. So now, when trying to update to the new 8929.1 driver, for some reason the script will not run. I briefly see a flash of the command box and nothing happens. Rebooted and tired several times. Yes running as administrator and using PRIME-TUF_DTS_HPXv1.cmd. What am I missing here? Thank you again. Hope you are staying well. EDIT: Was able to get error message. too long to copy here but here is part to give you an idea of what is happening: Adding the driver package failed : Invalid INF passed as parameter. 'Adding' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. pnputil /a ThirdParty\DTS\DTS_UWP_APO3x_CORE_x64_1.1.1.0\dtsapo3.inf /i Microsoft PnP Utility Adding the driver package failed : Invalid INF passed as parameter.
Hi, Please take into account this post : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...h-definition-audio.72236/page-79#post-1593368.
Thank you for your reply. Yes I have an administrator profile/account. This is strange, never had this before and I have not done anything to my system. Thought i would try to install 8924 again just to see if that worked but don't know why but i did not save it. I had gone back to 8899 which i liked better but usually save drivers but lost 8924. I know i did install it when you first released it and it worked then. ???? Thank you. any clue?
As indicated in the post previously linked, the drivers package install method has changed. You should not update an installation performed via the installer (Setup.exe) with the new drivers package installation method. Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, if don't work for you, retry but this time to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the INSTALL process (before cleanup step) until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart). For the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process without disable your Internet connection.
I understand, will do the cleanup / install process to get aligned with your new install method. Thank you so much. Stay well.
Hi, @MoKiChU , just wanted to point out that when installing the latest UAD 8929.1 from the command "Install_ROG_SS3.cmd" with admin privileges, the ASIO driver won't get installed. From the Device Manager > Software Components > Realtek Asio Component , if you go on Properties > Driver > Driver details , the Asio files are missing. There must be something wrong with the installation script I guess. Please check it out. Thanks
Hi, No issue on my side (RTHDASIO64.dll & RTHDASIO.dll are present in Properties > Driver > Driver details). Anyway, please take into account this post : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...h-definition-audio.72236/page-79#post-1593368. Hi MoKiChU, cleaned and reinstalled and everything went fine now. Not sure about one thing though, if I have to completely uninstall any of these drivers with the new installation process (from 8929.1 and up), what is the correct procedure to follow as there isn't any automatic uninstallation (via Control Panel > Uninstall programs) like the previous UAD drivers? Thanks
Hi, In order to keep it simple and to make it clear for everyone who wants to update to the latest UAD drivers : - Your current install/update was done via the installer (Setup.exe) : Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, if don't work for you, retry but this time to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the INSTALL process (before cleanup step) until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart). - Your current install/update was done via the .cmd : You can directly follow your UPDATE process. Just follow only your CLEANUP process.
Thanks again for the ASIO help. If I am using AUDIO_Realtek_HDA_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_DTS&RTK_v6.0.8924.1 from the ROG thread for my ROG Maximus Hero VIII Intel board. Do I have to follow the right-click CMD method of installing the drivers from this thread or can I do the right click admin, run Setup method? Thanks, BJBBJB
