We flashed my friend's laptop last night and that was the end of it. The bios is 2MB, so getting a usb floppy drive wouldn't help. I've been playing with crisis recovery mode, but so far haven't had much success.

I've used the hp utility to create a bootable 256mb usb flash drive as tested on my laptop. Put the applicable files on, and tried various keystrokes.

It looks like the usb drive blinks a few times, pauses, blinks a few more, pauses, blinks a few more, and that's the end of it. It happens regardless of what keystrokes I use when I turn on the laptop. Even if I don't hit any keys, it'll do that. The only thing different I've noticed is that when hitting Fn+Esc, the power light will blink instead of stay on solid.

    Please advise!
