I've just updated to the SP1 RC Refresh (v744) that has been released publicly by Microsoft and it has the same problem as the old RC. I was hoping maybe they had changed something to fix it. Oh well.. eventually this will be resolved.
on my 965-ds3 v744 changed it...slic table used to dissappear after sleep...now it appears that it just becomes corrupted and becomes an unknown table....size is changed etc...
Ga-p35-ds3p SP1 is out RTM - 6001.18000.080118-1840 ...on GA-P35-DS3P with latest F9 mod.bios ISA auto-metod the same trouble... on first day after installing SP1- 15 days, on next day- 9 days and today -9 days- after wake-up from sleep... after start-up Vista SP1( activated) [ RSDT: Root System Description Table ] [ SLIC: Software Licensing Description Table ] [ SSDT: Secondary System Description Table ] after start from sleeep (SLIC table dissapear) [ RSDT: Root System Description Table ] [ SSDT: Secondary System Description Table ] any suggestions?
Which revision? 1.1? We could try for a ssv1 mod and if it shouldn't work as well for a dynamic mod (which is a higher risk to try) Are you sure it's RTM?
SSV1: Superstatic version1, no higher risk if cbrom32_115 is used to modify.. At a Dynamic mod, yes. Dual bios plus? Really two physical bios chips on board?
Same here, with Rev 1.1, stops after "Verifying DMI...". Plus' the board beeps a few times before actually "turning on" and giving the standard single beep. Thank you for trying from me too.

Tomorrow I'll try some different mod methods I know so far. All made with p35ds4.f11 Since the board has got two bios chips it should be no problem to try them at all. Hope one of it will resolve the issue.
Be interested to see if this works...tried all of these on a DS3 and they all had the same result....no difference to ISA.
Nice to see that I can still deal with all the methods. But bad that the issue wasn't resolved. Now it's Gigabytes turn.
Just to be clear.. you tried the BIOS mods that Yen provided or you tried the same methods on a different BIOS for the DS3? I'm trying to decide whether I need to try these new mods provided by Yen on my DS4.
Just FYI, same happens on my Gigabyte P965-DQ6 as well, so this is a problem of the whole P965, P35-line of boards and maybe even newer Intel-chipsets. It also happens with the soft-mod method (aka bootsector). On all pre-SP1 versions it was perfectly fine. This could be very hard to get rid of. It would be nice to know, if a genuine slic made by Gigabyte has the same problems, so we could blame them Don
