You can look into the bios if the temps readings show up. If not then you can flash back to an unmodded bios to see if the temps shows up in the bios. If they don't show up there is something wrong with you're mobo. If they are there with the modded bios then I suspect the programm.
I tried it on the F13i GA-965P-S3 revision 3.3 bios and windows activates but coming out of S3 it says windows needs to be activated. Has anyone got it got work on this board? Cheers, Matt
Think someone else posted it was ok on a S3. Are you sure you added the correct isarom...the one thats posted in this thread? whats the address of the slic and rsdt tables in everest?
I'm a pretty big newb when it comes to bios modding, so im wondering if im getting this right. I have a already moded bios with asus slic, and tommyi:s isa file. Do i only have to inject the is file in the already moded bios with command cbrom p35ds3.f12 /ISA ISA-GA_SP1.BIN. Or is there something else i have to do? Running a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 rev 2.0 mobo.
Hi, Yeah I downloaded and used cbrom 1.55 to inject the isarom into the file, it seemed to work. Said 81.2% complete and then finished. I tried several different S3 bios and it all went to 81.2%. From everest: SLIC: 7FEE7EBCh RSDT: 7FEE3040h Hrmm Everest says Dell under the SLIC address, I definitely injected the isarom you posted as it's the only one i have.
Sorted the problem, an old crack was playing up with the system I believe. Used voatktoolsv.2.2 which uninstalled all the old stuff and now it's showing up as _ASUS_. Thanks.
Hi, I think I tried it all. Installed a BiE version of Vista Ultimate (no key inserted during install). Vista is activated after install. Mainboard Gigabyte P35-DS4 rev 1.1 Used the Paradox method to install a Asus certificate and key. Both were succesfull. Got the F12 bios for mainboard and inserted the isa bin file. (81.5% message???) Installed Bios. (from windows with @bios) After reboot bios is accepted (don't have to enter bios???) but DMI pool is updated so something in bios changed. However, when I use sleep (hybrid or not) I still get the messaga that Vista needs to be activated. After restart or hibernate Vista is still activated. I must be missing something. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.
not sure if it will work if you have all those other cracks in there as well...probably not even getting to see the real bios
Yes, I use the same BIOS. Istall any Vista edition you want without key, then install ASUS certificate and key for that edition. Enjoy.
Thanks, forgive me for being such a noob. Just one last question, this bios has already been patched with the ISA module that resolves the S3 problem & has the Asus SLIC table inserted right? So now all I need to do is to install the certificate depending on the version of vista I want to use?
The certificate is the same for all versions, the only diference is the key. You have to use appropriate key for the verson of vista you are installing.
Please help Hi, I just stumbled across this forum/thread as I recently discovered I have the same issue after installing Vista SP1. I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Rev 2.0 board with a QX9650 processor (not sure if this matters). I installed Vista 32-bit Ultimate OEM - DELL and all was fine until I tried SP1. Now I get the same activation problem after waking from S3 sleep. I've read this entire thread and I'm still confused as to the actual processor of applying the bios mod. Can someone please explain a step-by-step guide on what is needed to be done? Do I have to use a ASUS certificate or can I continue to use my DELL OEM key? Thanks, pip9ball
The cerificate depends on the SLIC insterted in your bios and the key depends on the version of vista you are instaling, the key does not depends if it is from HP,ASSUS e.t.c.
