Vistaloader causes startup to HANG for 10 mins

Anyone but me experiencing that Vista hangs in about 10 mins during bootup due to the SLIC-emulator? I`ve tried many versions of the Vistaloader experiencing the same issue. Anyone know if there is a solution to this?
My mATX motherboard is MSI G33M but there are no bios-mods of this card (yet).
    thanks!

I just did :) thanks for the link. However, it seems like it is being modded, but nobody can say if it works. I bricked my MB a couple of months ago due to a bad modfile and I had to send it for reflashing :( .. so I would like to know if it works before I try to apply the bios

    We'll see...
Just wait a little time for our expert staff to get their work on here ;) Where did that corrupted file come from?

You need the softmod completely removed if you want to mod your bios. This one thing is for sure.

I'm going to try everything i know today, if i don't have a working one tonight (12h left here in sweden until 24:00) i'm going to request that some one else to try/make a modd :)

I'd ask you conversely, where did you get that mod (which bricked your board)?
I never saw in this forum a feedback reporting any mod uploaded here for MSI P35/G33 failed.
The problem (if there was any) on MSI P35/G33 boards was its difficulty in modding, not a possible risk of bricking boards.

Hey guys Im new to this board, not sure I if I should start a new thread, but I have a problem using vistaloader too. After vista put me in reduced functionality I managed to rearm the timer which gave me back full functionality. after that I uninstalled my older loader and tried installing the 2.1.2 followed every instruction to the letter. Although everything is reported to be ok, upon rebooting grldr is starting but after find --set-root /bootmgr it reports file not found. I tried installing this a lot of time and I'm pretty sure I'm not doing anything wrong. I also tried the 3.0.01 but with the same result. Can someone please help me with this? Or maybe someone knows whats causing it?
    Appreciate your help, cheers

Thank you for helping me. I read most of the posts concerning vistaloader already after the initial failure. I tried it several times after that but still without succes. I can honestly say I tried it for almost 2 full days. So I just decided to hold my breath and flashed the bios, and it worked :) I used the p5b revision of China4Ever, so many thanks to him and the testers!

If you can enter SAFE MODE, uninstall all the drivers an then reboot. If that don't work i'm afraid you have to reinstall it :(

Also try putting the hdd, if it's sata2, in compatibility mode. Means switch it to sata1 operation from jumper.
