At the moment, no. We will probably do the same things with Windows 8, match CERT-BIOS-KEY and all is good.
i was lead to believe this too but apprently it maybe wrong and they may be online now who knows EDIT: NIHILIST i have PMED you about the cert
Thanks, I replied ! Edit: If I am right, I need to make a new BIOS Mod when I want to use this cert, right ?
Yesterday i've installed the WAT Update on my "Test"System (Win7 UT with Untermensch Loader), everything was okay, then the WAT was calling home to Redmond Some Minutes later i got a Popup with an Message thats says something like Your Windows is not Genuine blablabla....So Server is running for my Then i modding my Bios with Slic 2.1 and Key / Cert Combo that don't match. Reinstalling Win7 and WAT Update and after a While i get the Same Not Genuine Message. Now i've Patch my Bios with Certs / Keys that Match.....reinstall again....WAT update......and now everything ist fine again (at the moment) Nobody knows what the future brings.
Just ran slic toolkit and it shows I have a dell 2.1 cert also. I got the bios mod from here. One thing I noticed was I don't have any slp info in there. Should I?
Are you running a biosmod already with the old dell certificate? If yes, then just apply the new one..
Dell does not have a new 2.1 cert. It is the old one, the SLIC toolkit names it as DELL_V2.1 because it validates a SLIC 2.1 bin. Check the time of issue, if it is prior to 2009 then it is 2.0.
