No, it is 2.0. The only difference is the timeOfIssue

    Old Dell: 16/03/2006
The one at the dat file is 14/07/2009

    I guess it's a 'cert 2.1' anybody dumped it?

Edit: I'm sorry it's the old one....never mind..there are a lot of timeOfIssue strings I have missed it!!!

LOL Dude its not yet on line look at this

I This first diagnostic (no WAT installed yet)

    Diagnostic Report (1.9.0019.0):
    -----------------------------------------
    Without WAT

    Windows Activation Technologies-->
    HrOffline: N/A
    HrOnline: N/A
    HealthStatus: N/A
    Event Time Stamp: N/A
WAT Activex: Not Registered - 0x80040154
WAT Admin Service: Not Registered - 0x80040154

II Second Diagnostic, (Installed WAT and rebooted my Computer)

    Diagnostic Report (1.9.0019.0):
    -----------------------------------------

    Windows Activation Technologies-->
    HrOffline: N/A
    HrOnline: N/A
    HealthStatus: N/A
    Event Time Stamp: N/A
    WAT Activex: Registered
    WAT Admin Service: Registered

    in my observation
    the strings

    HrOffline: N/A
    HrOnline: N/A
    HealthStatus: N/A
Event Time Stamp: N/A <--- these 4 strings will indicate something if the WAT server is already online... this is just my opinion...

so still the WAT is not yet active.

Sorry...I have extracted it using an hexeditor. It matches exactly the old one...
I have missed the timeOfIssue strings. The cert is located at the end of the dat file, both (the extracted and the old one) are issued at 16/03/2006....so there is no cert 2.1

I'm not disputing that it's a simple solution; what I am saying is that blocking system access to these files will definitely not pass WAT validation which will be required for all future Genuine downloads / installations of Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows Defender, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Calculator Plus, etc. not to mention optional Windows Updates, and more perks that surely they are planning. If they did not have extra benefits in mind, there would be no point in the WAT release at all, not even for users of properly activated systems.

its going to be like any hack or bypass work around it will not last long 90 days.
no one will find a perm workaround i dont think.

EDIT: what makes me laugh is no one is taking this serious they just think oh well it will be sorted bypass workaround ETC

at the end of the day why have M$ got the 90 day check for laughs they will use that to there full advantage i really think they serious this time.

dont think it matters who your vendor is just make sure you use a match cert with the matchin pk

so if u got a dell cert you use a dell pk

There is no matching Ultimate key for FSC cert. Had installed with Acer/Packard/Gateway key and still working.
