Hey I know its only 2 bucks but its the principle plus it could buy 2 items from the dollar menu at Mc'ds
Correct and since I got a refund the key is now blocked on my account. It still works with other people however so yeah it's tied into the account.
OK... WildByDesign is correct then... licence is per MSA... the key is just a by-product for installation etc..
Yes, I believe so. The page seemed to be geared toward "non-genuine" Windows if I remember correctly. I believe that the OEM upgrades will be tied to MSA as well, similar to what we are seeing here.
Well if it is $2.49 I wouldn't mind paying it, if SLIC BIOSes fails the upgrade. That's a Steam Sale quality discount.
Even that small amount could be a fortune for the seller, special if that Offer is Scam!! In fact there many users would simply try that because of that small ammount and if that's just 1k user, mean 2k+ Bucks!! Not bad!!
No joke... I cannot get that even people paid those two bucks. It's been on any news that w10 will be a free upgrade and the retail version home is 119 US-Dollar and pro 199 Dollar. Also one knows that the definition of valid keys will change at RTM as it ever had.....
There will be enough who just would pay that 2 Bucks!! Idiot's in my mind! As you said, it's well known that everybody could get Windows 10 totally for free! Just those people are to lazy to read the How To.....!!
Maybe its time to add a button in the forum so for $2 you can create a new thread. Apparently you'd make lot of money
Sounds like they never got billed the $2 anyway, or if they did it's getting returned. I'd rather spend my $2 on a hotdog. I sure am hungry! Its sounding virtually impossible Windows 10 won't be free for virtually everybody. Suddenly all those Windows 7 COA's I have lying around have some value again
Could have given it to me. If 5 people did I'd be able to buy a coffee and (perhaps) a small slice of Pizza. If 5000 did I could get a TV and/or a (used) car. You get the idea. 100k people and I'm laughing. Since 10 is basically free I don't get why anyone would pay anything but if anyone wants to pay me USD 2 (for no reason) you are welcome. I wouldn't say no.
I doubt it. According to Gabe only Insiders will be required to use an MS account, everybody else can do the upgrade using a local account, so for OEM the hardware ID seems to be the crucial factor, not a specific MS account.
no one can prove it's fake no one can prove anything yet here they are talking smack without any thing to back it up but for a bunch of useless words from Microsoft as always people who know less are going to hate hate hate and get salty
Well so far they haven't refunded me, and my MS account shows as below. Just gonna wait and see what happens.
