what's the price gonna be?

    i don't really care about this as i'm never going to buy or use Windows 8 garbage,

    but i'd still like to know just what ungodly price M$ is going to charge for it...

    i would be surprised if some editions cost as much as Office Professional Plus...

    i'm sure the prices will be higher than Windows 7--mainly to combat all the losses from piracy--but at the same time i'm sure M$ realizes that their horrible pricing is what makes piracy so appealing for their OSes.

    anyone got any thoughts as to what the retail price will be for Windows 8?

    I think Windows 7 prices are good enough to be continued with Windows 8. Maybe they will even lower the prices of $20 for example.
    But at the moment, I think nobody can know the prices :crystal:

    It depends on the version, but I guess for Ultimate you would have to pay more than 100 bucks.

    i bought an XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 with a bad display port from microcenter and they refunded me for the max value that I bought it at,which was $280 at the time,i opted for in-store credit,guess what i'm buying with that:D

    Ha ha, That's what I thought until I installed WDP. It Wouldn’t play ball, so I gave up with it.....:eek:

    Price will be low for sure compared to windows 7, but most win 7 guys like to stick with 7 only, i think 8 needs time to get popular and friendly. May be next version of windows ,after 8 can be only a huge success in case of touch related features and all :D,RTM version of windows 8 need some magic otherwise :crystal:

    true!!! 100% agree!!! Metro is all 2d - its so dumb!!! This whole metro thing is getting quite boring!!! Need something radical from ms before rtm!!!
