Hey all, Apologies if this has been asked already. Is it possible to upgrade from Win 11 22000.176 to 22449.1000 using Windows update and unsupported hardware. I've used an activator to activate it, but everytime I try to update it gets to 6% then fails. I'm in the process of creating a bootable ISO using rufus. If there is no solution to the update through Windows, is it possible to do the upgrade with the ISO using NTLite and Win 10 files for booting? Any help much appreciated.
Code: When using WU, wait for the TPM message to appear and go to "C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources" (hidden folder, make it visible in the settings) and replace the existing appraiserres.dll with the one from the tool project folder, go back to WU and press "Solve the problem" and WU will restart downloading and now should go on with the upgrade The above is tested working for upgrades to 22449.1000. For ISO upgrades there is no need for any bootable USB, just extract the ISO to a folder on the system you want to upgrade or just mount the ISO in explorer. Testing ISO upgrades to 22449.1000 as we speak.
Thanks for the help but I've had no luck... So the current state of my Windows update is an error on trying to install Windows 11 Insider Preview 22449.1000 (rs_prerelease). When I click to retry it gets to 6% and the same again in loop. If I allow the WU download files to accumulate in $WINDOWS.~BT\Sources, I can see the appraiserres.dll, however once the update errors out, it disappears. If I try to overwrite it during the download process, it still errors and disappears (along with the other files) and gives the same error message. I created the ISO with your program, mounted the ISO and ran the setup from both root and sources folder, but it says my system doesn't meet the requirements. I appreciate any help with this.
i downloaded the iso from uup dump. put it in sources\win11 folder. ran option 2 and it upgraded fine from 22200.168
If you are quick and replace appraiserres.dll before the Windows 11 Setup window appears, WU continue downloading it and you don't need to click Solve the problem. There's no need to be that fast but I'd just checked it.
From 22000.176 TO 22449.1000 via Windows Update by replacing "appraiserres.dll" in a live system ? But 22449.1000 has watermark and timebomb then ?
Hey @Enthousiast Any reason why "appraiserres.dll" from build 1709 is being used and not from the latest win 10 build? Just curious.
Hey Enthousiast, Is it possible to elaborate on this step as everytime I try to update Windows from 22449.179, the files appear in $WINDOWS.~BT\Sources, stay there till 6% (regardless of overwriting the appraiserres.dll, then it gives me a "fail" in WU, and deletes all the files. Does it matter that my OS is running from the D: partition, and is there any step here I am missing? Thanks in advance for the help.
The dll from 1709 is used by adguard, i use the one from 1703. And still testing some scenarios in which it wouldn't work, but now busy helping an old lady getting her facebook games back working. Facebook is not helping her, they don't even respond to her reports.
It simply works with the 15063 aka 1703 appraiserres.dll, seems in my previous tests WU was updating and then the ISO upgrade failed after 1 second of showing the blue upgrade screen. Now it is working fine, already at 60% now EDIT: upgrade finished 100% successful
22449.1000 on an ancient laptop from at least 2009, probably older https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...l-project-mrp-mk3.71555/page-368#post-1687379
I tried to run the 2.0 version on UUP Dump 22449.1000 ISO from within Windows 11 2200.179 and it hangs on 'Creating x64 ISO' and never finishes. Does it with 1.8 as well. It is because I have ADK 2004 installed?
No dism is used (only for build details assessment), it's full wimlib-imagex managed, cdimage is also present and called. Can you check the cmd window title bar for the word: select ? If it's shown then rightclick inside the cmd window and it should resume. If not, please copy/paste the full progress here in code tags.

Running directly from my Windows 11 install. Not remotely or anything. Edit: It had something to do with my Windows 11 install. I reverted to a W10 Macrium image i had saved and it worked. BTW, did I ever tell you all how great the free Macrium Reflect is for doing full Windows backups from a Macrium boot USB? I swear by it!
