I was under the impression that wzor was going to leak it 1-15-2014. But apparently thats not the case. So who knows.

So is Windows 8/8.1, still based on the same 6.x kernel technology. Hopefully Windows 9 will move to version 7.0 when released!
Obviously you need a history lesson. Windows Vista was originally code named Longhorn. This ended up being a mess and was scrapped as the build process was too messy. Thus vista was born as it was created with much higher hardware specs than what people were used to on Windows XP. Windows Vista was a code rewrite of the kernel which does contain some legacy software for backward compatibility with Windows XP that being said the following is the case: Windows XP - 5.0 Windows Vista - 6.0 Windows 7 - 6.1 Windows 8 - 6.2 Windows 8.1 - 6.3 WE have been going through Graphic User Interface changes for the past 10 years. Windows 7 was a pretty stable Operating System however when Microsoft introduced aspects of the hybrid metro user interface into Windows the half botched mess created RAM usage issues. This can be seen if you run Process Explorer as well. This ends your history lesson of the day your welcome. At this time I don't even need the internet to tell you all of this as most of this stuff is in my notes.
@RobrPatty - At this time we build available: pre-Release UPDATE BUILD 2014 : 6.3.9600.16581.WINBLUES14_GDR_LEAN.13122 2-2030 Company Microsoft has no plans to make these public pre-release Windows 8.1 Build 2014 Update , they have the status of a strictly confidential and each assembly has a digital signature by which you can identify the source of a leak of confidential information . Nevertheless, maybe we can provide these preliminary assembly ( pre-Release builds ) for general public testing. This may take more than come Old New Year , but until then settle for screenshots ...
WZor claimed 15th January leak, even published it on their front page, but no leak.... why listen to them now ?
History speaks for itself with Wzor/WZT. Translations get muddy as well, so who knows. Wzor/WZT have been leaking MS originals for years.
What could be so new or earth shattering in win 8.1 update that the leak has to be so keenly awaited. It will come or it will not. Going by past history, WZOR will post it when they get it.
The problem with Microsoft is that it takes them a stupid amount of time to figure out that there pants are on the floor and the world is saying their OS sucks. Now we just need to wait about a year or two before they get back in the groove.
The only app that kept me using the Metro side of 8.1 was the Mail app, but since that stopped working properly, AGAIN, even after a fresh install, Metro is dead again to me, so pinning apps to the taskbar is Meh
