Bit of topic here, but does anyone know which editions are included in this ISO: Windows 10 (multi-edition), Version 1709 (Updated Nov 2017) (x64) - DVD (English) en_windows_10_multi-edition_version_1709_updated_nov_2017_x64_dvd_100290211.iso SHA1: 1F958B6A80A542C82EECD918126F665AA7381D34 Says 'multi'. So does that include all? Like PRO, EDUCATION, ENTERPRISE etc? And depending on choice of edition you need appropriate key for activation? Btw, that's the latest (Redstone 3), English International ISO, right?
Did you read the sticky 16299.xxx thread's OP? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...e-final-16299-15-16299-64-16299-125-pc.75255/
Nope So, there's a December update as well. 1851a0007321fa084145ea24b8d30bf7a72bf1c6 *en_windows_10_multi-edition_vl_version_1709_updated_dec_2017_x64_dvd_100406172.iso ea214ee684a5bb8230707104c54a3b74d92f1d69 *en_windows_10_multi-edition_version_1709_updated_dec_2017_x64_dvd_100406711.iso First is VL-based (Enterprise, Education), second is all the rest (Home, PRO)
'Education' listed under 'Multi'. I was under the impression that Education was strictly VL activated
One last question regarding this (I hope!) Will an Education key that activates this: File Name:en_windows_10_education_x64_dvd_6848120.iso SHA1:02D3174B7853AA3465828B0AE1D3D6A0C22AFD57 ...also work for activating Education in this: File Name:en_windows_10_multi-edition_version_1709_updated_dec_2017_x64_dvd_100406711.iso SHA1:EA214EE684A5BB8230707104C54A3B74D92F1D69 ???
multi-edition = Index : 1 Name : Windows 10 S Description : Windows 10 S Size : 15.834.526.367 bytes Index : 2 Name : Windows 10 S N Description : Windows 10 S N Size : 14.726.605.206 bytes Index : 3 Name : Windows 10 Home Description : Windows 10 Home Size : 15.591.320.720 bytes Index : 4 Name : Windows 10 Home N Description : Windows 10 Home N Size : 14.528.709.496 bytes Index : 5 Name : Windows 10 Education Description : Windows 10 Education Size : 15.835.425.691 bytes Index : 6 Name : Windows 10 Education N Description : Windows 10 Education N Size : 14.749.862.816 bytes Index : 7 Name : Windows 10 Pro Description : Windows 10 Pro Size : 15.832.546.061 bytes Index : 8 Name : Windows 10 Pro N Description : Windows 10 Pro N Size : 14.750.695.344 bytes
en_windows_10_education_x64_dvd_6848120.iso is 10240 aka 1507 and doesn't contain all sku's, it edition only, in this case Education. On MDL it isn't allowed to discuss or share activation keys. Use a proper KMS solution. For 16299.xxx all info is in the second link of the top of my sig.
So the answer is 'Yes' (I did know from earlier post that multi includes all those..) Therefore, it makes more sense to use en_windows_10_multi-edition_version_1709_updated_dec_2017_x64_dvd_100406711.iso, since it contains the DEC17 update. Not sure how old the other image is though. p.s. I m talking about legit key activation!
The other image is 10240 and is not supported anymore, only 2015 LTSB still receives updates, it's from July 2015. Legit activation can't be transfered, so why asking for it, you either have a legit key or MSDM or subscription via the educational institute or not.
Regarding the keys sold on eBay - I think it depends. Not all are stolen. I was surprised at first as well, but apparently legit keys can be found. As with any purchase, you ll have to carefully research the seller profile. E.g. check feedback and look at selling history (other items they are selling). I have found 1-2 sellers that have been on eBay for several years, have over 99.5% positive feedback and sell various OS licenses and server parts. I would be guessing that all those may well be perfectly legit (e.g. from de-commissioning business equipment). There's nothing wrong by re-selling licenses for Windows OSes that are not needed anymore, right? I am not sure if MS has a policy on this, but personally I wouldn't describe such keys as 'stolen'.
Those keys are stolen, generated, used up their activations or otherwise illegally obtained and resold.
Sorry for sort of hijacking the thread, but can I download the 10586.0.160426-1409.th2_refresh .esd file for Pro (Volume) of my chosen language and rename it to (and replace the existing) install.esd file in the sources dir on an existing installation USB created with the official media creation tool this week, so probably latest version? I am helping a family member who inadvertently bought a Kaby Lake-based Ideapad without OS this weekend, and his internet is very slow. I would prefer to have as much as possible of what I need downloaded in advance. My plan is to go the Win7+Daz Loader route, but I'm afraid there will be too many missing drivers under win7 for the GenuineTicket.xml method to work, so I need a fallback. Would an upgrade from win7 work even if the clean install GenuineTicket should fail, or would the fallback need to be a Win 8.1 activated with t.ex. MTK and then upgraded to 10586? The idea is that Win 8.1 probably have most of the drivers, so it won't err out due to too many (perceived) hardware changes. The seller offered him to "fix" Windows 10 for him to help him out, and I could just do the MTK or other method directly on a clean Win10 install for him, which is what the seller would probably do. But i really would prefer him to have a "genuine" HWID activation to reduce the likelihood of problems down the road in case of updates killing of other methods, which seem to be more like temporary bypassing solutions. He's not that tech savvy, so a solution that is most likely lasting would be easier for him - and me!
With some .inf edits most Win10 drivers would install. Display driver is hard to find though, but there is 21.20.16.4526 version which works with KL CPUs. Other PITAs are USB 3.0 driver (if an ODD is not present in the notebook and you need to install from USB) and NVME drive (if present). Since Windows 7 doesn't support neither USB 3.0, nor NVME without additional updates/drivers installed. Both problems (USB 3.0and NVME) can be solved using WindowsImageTool by GIGABYTE.
There is a great tool which was recently posted here called Windows 7 Image Updater by @Atak_Snajpera which can do all this stuff automatically (integrating updates, USB 3.0 drivers and NVMe as well and more....) , it integrates all necessary drivers and updates automatically without the need of doing the exta work for integration manually.
sorry why after installed win8.1 and activated, upgrade win 1511 ask me product key? Thanks to them that will answer
