I have the debug 10041 version from glass8.eu downloaded and installed, got the task setup to run on boot with the example batch file from same site, but I cant figure out what I'm doing wrong to the reg settings because I'm getting no glass effects at all. Anyone had any success with this? Knows what and where to change the right reg settings? Thanks.
Just install the stable version without the donation.key and it will work without the symbols !! If you like yo can copy afterwards the debug version over it and put back the donation.key
I have windows build 10041 installed. I'm trying to aero glass it. so I goto glass8.eu and get the recommended specific build for said windows version, install it via the example batch file it correctly adds the task and loads it on startup and it is running in the process list of task manager I try messing around with reg settings, get nothing, I run a gui that someone built that changes what looks like to me the right path reg settings as per the glass8.eu guide, get nothing.....
Try to use it on the standard theme and see how that goes And if it's running you should have a cmd debug window !
I'm about to destroy something in a rage cause I can't for the life of me work anything out. I need complete dummy instructions it seems cause nothing f'n working, what to download exactly and how to do it from step 1 nothing installed nothing downloaded.
My advice is not to install experimental debug versions if you are not able to do it. It will cause you only harm.
Why you need that effect anyway? It was eating resources for nothing... They removed it for a reason. Live some time without it and you'll forget it quickly.
Ahm.. For those of us not using a Windows RT tablet we would love to see Aero back on Windows. There was absolutely no justification for removing it as it was just Microsoft's failure. Basically I'm saying your post is full of crap and the current windows style is ugly.
why you people just stick with windows 7, which has this effect and uses less resourses?. I just dont understand...
