As I known, there is three method two install Windows 10 on a computer without digital signature 1) If you have a valid Win7 or Win8 code, uses Win10 installer from ISO of Win10-1511 and install with this code. Then you can upgrade this win10 to rev 1607 (and run cleanmgr after) or do a clean install with 1607 iso 2) If you have a Win7 or Win8.1 activated (if you have not, you can install Win7SP1 then Waz loader to activate it to have one), then start upgrade from Iso of Win 10 original version (july 2015) or Win10-1511. Then you can upgrade this win10 to rev 1607 (and run cleanmgr after) or do a clean install with 1607 iso 3) If you have a Win7 or Win8.1 activated (if you have not, you can install Win7SP1 then Waz loader to activate it to have one), start upgrader from assistive page. Then you can run cleanmgr or do a clean install with 1607 iso.
As far as I Know.... The offer for free upgrade from 7/8.1 to 10 ended on July 29th 2016 If you want 10 today, you'll need to buy it or use another method. There are a couple other methods
I suppose they will... eventually. But as Yen pointed out the GenuineTicket method still works, so clearly they haven't turned off the activation servers handing out DEs for upgrades completely. Only the offer nags for older Windows version users have ceased. They still want to get as close to that billion as possible.
Did an upgrade from Win7 Ultimate (Daz) to Win10 Pro with the usual method (no AT) today: still working.
Hello! Will it work?: 1. Install Windows 7 run DAZ loader. 2. Install Windows 10 choose upgrade during setup. 3. Connect to Internet. 4. Clean install after some time Windows 10
What would be the point? I don't believe this method would work anyway, as the upgrade has been disabled AFAIK, but why choose this method, when you can use the GenuineTicket method so you don't have to wait to clean install.. 1. Install Windows 7 2. Update Windows 7(Optional, but I like to. Not sure why to be entirely honest, just habit) 3. Run Daz's Windows Loader, reboot 4. Take "gatherosstate.exe" from "sources" folder in Windows 10 ISO and copy it to the desktop of the Windows 7 machine, then run it as administrator (I recommend using TH1 or TH2's gatherosstate.exe, I think RS1's still works, but I figure for reliability sake, choosing one from before the end of the free upgrade period would make the most sense) 5. Copy the GenuineTicket.xml that is placed on the Desktop, and back it up. 6. Take the computer offline(disconnect the ethernet, or disconnect WiFi and DO NOT connect until last step) 7. Clean install Windows 10 (Make sure you use the appropriate version. If you had Windows 7 Home Premium, make sure to choose Windows 10 Home, if you had Professional or above, make sure to choose Windows 10 Pro) 8. Open an administrative command prompt, and run "net stop clipsvc" (Optional, but again I do it out of habit and for reliability sake) 9. Copy your backed up GenuineTicket.xml into "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\ClipSVC\GenuineTicket" 10. Reboot 11. Connect to the internet(either plug your Ethernet back in or connect to your WiFi) - Windows 10 should now activate.
I upgraded from windows 8.1 pro legit version to windows 10 pro on my old computer and I am building a new computer tomorrow. Can I copy the GenuineTicket.xml from that pc and use it on the new one?
No, the ticket has to be created on the same (new) PC (from an activated upgradeable previous win version) you want to activate w10 later.
Then Install WIN7 Pro run daz and do the assistance upgrade and wait to do a clean install using the method you posted?
The method I have posted at post one and mentioned by kronflux is not the assistive tech offer method, it's the ticket method. AFAIK both still work. At the ticket method just make sure you have it disconnected first when installing w10 as kronflux mentioned at step 6. Both will lead to a 'real' activation from M$ while KMS emulators such as Microsoft toolkit require an emulation tool...such tools can activate office as well, though.
