Not accidentally, there is something called responsible disclosure, and MS were informed about this vulnerability back in June 2020, and they kept on asking for delays until June 2021 patch, when they were supposed to patch that, but they didn't do as well. Funny thing that the new patch they urgently issued yesterday doesn't fully patch this issue, leaving so many systems running on Windows vulnerable.
Well everyone is lying then because the POC code was disclosed by a researcher and then deleted once they realized that the patch was not out yet.
