I searched forum but couldnt find enough information about Dynamic updates. How can I update my windows 10 installation media ( such as an iso file) by using a Dynamic update (such as KB3116906 ) ? Can i slipstream it into the wim file ? Thanks to upcoming responses.
That one is only for winpe not for install.wim itself (only for boot.wim index 2 or winre.wim) There are also dynamic updates for the iso\sources folder. Then you only have to unpack the cab (there aren't any installable files in it), copy over the files to the iso\sources folder. If there are any lang folders (not in latest 1511 dynamic update) for \sources then you only have to copy the files from your language).
Thanks for the answer.. Can i mount my boot.wim to mount folder and then apply the Dynamic update to boot.wim ?
Yeah Thank also to Abbodi1406. Well , how can we differentiate whether a Dynamic update is applicable for boot.wim or for sources folder ?
Thanks for info... BTW: How do OOBE ZDP work? I know, that they install during OOBE's "now we are setting one or two things"-phase. But what they fix and why they aren't requested by WU on installed system? I mean the updates like (KB3116278). Why is the size of all OOBE ZDP updates limited to 5MB?
@ abbodi1406 With kb3118754 updated, my Bubbles Super Nasty SFX Extractor Tool failed. (It flashed away after net start trustedinstaller. Both updated-to-date 10586 Enterprise and 10240 Enterprise LTSB.) Any help? Thanks. Edit: My bad - I overwrote Packages while copying .mum Code: @echo off setlocal enableextensions setLocal EnableDelayedExpansion cd /d "%~dp0" cscript /nologo SxSExtract.vbs /IMAGE:H:\Windows ^ H:\Windows\Servicing\Packages\Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP-Component-SKU-Professional-GVLK-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~10.0.10586.0.mum ^ Professional-GVLK-Package-x86.cab
....Well,now during installation of Windows 10 this KB3116278 is request as critical update..so i need waiting...someone have this KB3116278 link?for integrate in ofline mode?..THANKS!
You'd be better off to integrate KB3118754, since it supersedes KB3116278 (which is why that one's not in the repo list): microsoft-windows-oobe-machine 10.0.10586.9 is in KB3116278, while 10.0.10586.11 is in KB3118754.
It gets automaticly installed during OOBE, so without "tweaking/modding" the install (media) it will be a download he doesn't want to do every time he installs windows so he wants to integrate it.
The contents of KB3116278 are also in KB3118754 (but it's a newer version). Why wouldn't you want to integrate the newer version?
As I said, whatever you integrate it will be downloaded during OOBE, just like it was with kb3074678 and kb3074686 on 10240. EDIT: I've been testing so much i'm not sure anymore about my statement, i'll try it again tomorrow
