while not an actual virus, it's something that will perpetually be flagged as such, specially since it does not have a digital signature. even digitally signed exe's that touch security aspect of windows get flagged time and time again so that's why you should stay away from precompiled binaries (even if it's just a sfx + script + elevate utility), and just use a proven, plain-text script that you can freely inspect in notepad and enter in powershell on demand to toggle defender
@zucrin... my sincerest apologies (as it appears I've definately got the authorship wrong) will clarify things further tomorrow (when I am sober) ... welcome to Windows 11, some people would have you believe... It's the end of the world as we know it It's the end of the world as we know it It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine…

Is there a way to completely remove the "interests stuff" from the new Widget pane? I only want my widgets i selected there and not the whole "suggestions crap" from microsoft.. But there i did not see an option to fully disable that crap or am i blind? Maybe there is another way to do this? Thanks a lot. And i think there is no way / hack to bring back my outlook.com agendas (calendar dates) to the system try clock/calender? As i noticed microsoft has removed this feature to promote the widget section, but the calendar widget is not the best.
@Opa114 From a comment on Ghacks about widgets (recent post : How to download Windows 11) "If you’re on Pro version then use group policy to disable it. Home users will have to use Registry. I used group policy and it works. ....." I can't post a link here.
@JeanP: sounds nice - and yes i'm on Pro Version. But yes please share the links to both solutions regarding the Widgets Stuff. thanks a lot!
