Why not try first, it's easy enough to remove. But yes, of course it allows you to save. It was tested before posting, otherwise it wouldn't have been posted, not much point in posting something that doesn't do what it says it does.

 

I use the file editor provided with Beyond Compare for editing the hosts file - works a treat.

 

I'm away from my Windows 11 test machine, and this doesn't work on Windows 10. Or I'll have to dig around, like completely uninstall Kaspersky Anti Virus, because something (probably Kaspersky) is not letting me edit the registry.

There is a bug - both options open a cmd window.
Powershell won't open.
