LDR only updates are similar to the regular GDR only updates, it's installed in the normal way
and if you are looking for the _BF suffix you will not find it, that's is for the Both GDR+LDR updates, not for LDR only updates

how do we distinguish GDR updates from LDR updates?
simply by looking in the updated files manifest version:
    GDR branch uses: 6.3.9600.1xxxx
    LDR branch uses: 6.3.9600.2xxxx

anyway, i didn't mean to confuse users when i mentioned the LDR part, i was simply making a note regarding first of its kind update for Windows 8.1 ;)
because we thought that microsoft will drop the GDR, LDR terminology method in windows 8.1, specially that all its updates so far were GDR only.

I was a little foggy on the GDR or LDR terminology so i googled it and found this.
What exactly is LDR Mode, how does one disable\enable it, etc.

The version number 6.3.1.0 is stated inside the msu file for KB2913152. What does this version number indicate?

6.3 is the OS and 1 is the update version, example if you have a file named v2 then the internal build number will reflect this (6.3.2.0)

    Small change:

    KB2901101 is superseded by KB2908387-v3

KB2913236-x86 is not included (superseded) by KB2903939 (sorry about that)

rsat for win 8.1 x64 (i think) saves to extras1 rather than extras.

    Very nice work indeed.

Thanks RickSteele. Alphawaves, abbodi1406 and burfadel are the ones who did the important work. What I did was minor. But yes, I agree that the new approach is working out very well!

@MSMG, i'll throw some quick things to try first. Check the dism.log, run cmd as admin, and\or try loosening up your UAC settings. I did a fresh install yesterday with all the updated integrated and my dism works fine. I have UAC disabled though.

Yes, I was about to post, the problem was with something else, it might be with the unattend.xml or registry tweaks. am just checking what's the cause.
