Tired of these frequent changes in list of updates associated with Windows 8.1 Update 1.. So What's the Final List of Updates that will be included with Windows 8.1 Update 1, when compared to Windows 8.1 RTM and Windows 8.1 with Update MSDN ISO's
From what I checked some hours back, updates for win 8.1 with update iso (April 2014 iso): 2933809 2939087 2942844 (FLASH) 2919355 (but install 2934018) When I installed on Sat (with no April patches then), the updates were: 2899189 2901125 2898868 2938527 (FLASH, but superseded by 2942844 above) 2894853 2928680
well i took the updated 1 iso and then injected all updates, including the "KB2934018" however on completion windows update is offering KB2919355, looks like maybe i have to add the KB2934018 last in the updates... It's really strange. I installed form update 1 iso (multiple editions) and after first wave of updates update 1 was once again offered by windows update. Anyone knows reason for that behavior?
Try integrating that in a separate dism command from the rest of the updates. Sometimes things will fail to install even if they are pending if you process them all at once.
yeh i tried that too, this is my script and KB2934018" is the oly update in baseline Code: MD %~dp0MOUNT Dism.exe /Mount-Wim /WimFile:%~dp0install.wim /Index:1 /MountDir:%~dp0MOUNT Dism /image:D:\Inject8.1\mount /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /Source:G:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess Dism.exe /image:%~dp0MOUNT /Add-Driver /Driver:"%~dp0x64-Drivers" /Recurse Dism.exe /image:%~dp0MOUNT /Add-Package /PackagePath:"%~dp02.General" Dism.exe /image:%~dp0MOUNT /Add-Package /PackagePath:"%~dp03.Hotfixes" Dism.exe /image:%~dp0MOUNT /Add-Package /PackagePath:"%~dp04.Security" Dism.exe /image:%~dp0MOUNT /Add-Package /PackagePath:"%~dp05.Additional" Dism.exe /image:%~dp0MOUNT /Add-Package /PackagePath:"%~dp06.Extra" Dism.exe /image:%~dp0MOUNT /Add-Package /PackagePath:"%~dp01.Baseline" Dism.exe /image:"D:\inject8.1\Mount" /get-packages /format:table /English /loglevel:2 /LogPath:"%~dp0DISM.log" >"D:\inject8.1\Injected_packages.txt" Dism.exe /image:"D:\inject8.1\Mount" /get-Drivers /format:table /English /loglevel:2 /LogPath:"%~dp0DISM.log" >"D:\inject8.1\Injected_Drivers.txt" Dism.exe /Unmount-Wim /MountDir:%~dp0MOUNT /commit Dism /Export-Image /SourceImageFile:D:\inject8.1\install.wim /SourceIndex:1 /DestinationImageFile:D:\inject8.1\install2.wim PAUSE
Try changing the order then. Perhaps 2934018 should be the first one you integrate, before drivers or anything else. Also, if you don't /limitaccess or /source on the netfx3 add, it will download the latest version that doesn't need hotfixes.
well I don't know if this matters but I never installed most of those hotfixes that you did, I don't know if that messes with anything, just a thought
Try integrating just the 4018 hotfix by itself with no drivers or net3 and start figuring out where it breaks by adding things to the image one at a time.
Thank you for the great utility komm, the last KUC worked flawlessly, only 2 updates can't be removed because M$ optimized(Reset base bla bla) the ISO with them(KB2949621 and KB2939471).
The integration of the missing hotfixes into the Win8.1 PRO "Spring Update" ISO by using DISM works, if you start with KB2934018. After having completed the integration, you can integrate the other missing hotfixes (KB2933809, KB2939087 and KB2942844) at once. I just have done it and it worked!
I noticed that when I was sysprepping I had to install 4018 first, reboot, and then the rest of the kb files or the system would go haywire on the next boot. I'm betting 4018 doesn't like to play well with others.
Exactly the same I am thinking too. This is what I have done: 1. When I entered the command "dism /image:\mount /add-package /packagepath:\integration\kbfiles\x64", there was just the KB2934018 within that x64 subfolder. 2. After the integration had successfully completed, I removed the KB2934018 and copied the other 3 hotfixes into the subfolder. 3. Then I reentered the hotfix integration command and everything completed fine.
Unfortunately after integrating KB2934018, the resetbase fails due to pending status . So i will warm up VMware .
This didn't happen in my case. Meanwhile I have done a fresh install of Win8.1 PRO "Spring Update" with these 4 integrated hotfixes and WU didn't offer any hotfix (except KB976002, which doesn't matter)!
