The MEGA download and then mounted index 3 and recaptured it. Used the Preview ISO to replace the WIM and rebuilt it.
The version 1 contains some files from the windows 8.1 pro x64 build 9471.. am still downloading the windows 8.1 pro rtm install.wim which today leaked and so i will make a fully rtm version of boot.wim and setup files..
If you read far enough in the thread to find out it's corrupted, surely you would of seen the posts about progress being made to make it work Stay awhile, and listen
so I've downloaded the install.wim (it's not corrupted) , what can I do to convert it to a bootable ISO without mix it with the other releases, Chinese, 9471 ?
Use the following command to clean-up junk files and also repair the wim Code: dism /Mount-Wim /WimFile:c:\w8\sources\install.wim /index:1 /MountDir:c:\w8mnt dism.exe /Image:c:\w8mnt /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase dism /Unmount-Wim /MountDir:c:\w8mnt /commit
Let me get this straight. Is all i have to do is copy thed/l the 2 mega files parts one and two into the same folder and extract it there where it will be combined into 1 ISO file that will be able to put on a dvd and then install it on my system? Can someone verify this for me plz? If not, tell me what i need to do instead. I appreciate any help given to me. thx
I'm going to try to activate the retail Windows 8 key I have. But I would like to know if I can't get rid of the betta fish using the method of replacing the install.win preview ISO with the corrected one I downloaded on post #663. Thanks
it have kept only the files necessary to boot from the dvd and install the install.wim to reduce the size i.e, no other folders are there..
Ugh... getting Unable to Verify Key error on upgrade no matter what I do. I even used a legit ProWMC. I'm going to try using the preview files and sub out the install.wim, but it's gonna take another 15 mins before I can even re-iso it
Not quite - Download both parts - Extract install.wim - Use DISM to extract index 3 from installer.wim and export it to a new installer.wim That's about as far as I got though...
