Ugh... getting Unable to Verify Key error on upgrade no matter what I do. I even used a legit ProWMC. I'm going to try using the preview files and sub out the install.wim, but it's gonna take another 15 mins before I can even re-iso it
Not quite - Download both parts - Extract install.wim - Use DISM to extract index 3 from installer.wim and export it to a new installer.wim That's about as far as I got though...
I'm currently upgrading my W8 Pro (legit Dreamspark activated serial) to W8.1 Pro. I extracted the 8.1 preview ISO to C:\Windows8 I then downloaded w8boot-v1.7z and extracted it. I copied everything in the ISO folder to C:\Windows8, overwriting any files. I them modified EI.CFG to the following Code: [EditionID] Professional [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 Next I took the leaked install.wim and overwrite the install.wim in C:\Windows8\Sources Then I ran C:\Windows8\Sources\setup.exe from within Windows I clicked upgrade, now my computer is upgrading to Windows 8.1 Pro I will post back my results! EDIT: Looks like it failed. I will try to do the WIM repair and try again.
yep there's a script error please make the following changes to the MakePatch.cmd file and run the patch Code: xdelta3.exe -d -s boot.wim boot_en-US.delta boot_en-US.wim del /q boot.wim ren boot_en-US.wim boot.wim move boot.wim ISO\sources move install.wim ISO\sources oscdimg.exe -betfsboot.com -u2 -h -m -lW8_RTM ISO en_windows_8.1_rtm_x64.iso
