winsupersite.com sux and Paul Thurrott IMHO is a copycat. They have been wrong at w7 SP1 RTM whereas Zuko (Wzor) was right. Also they have no good sources, we here have members with w8 running for sure. Not sure if Paul ever saw an instalation of w8....tsssstssss supersite tsssstsssss
So Windows 8 now supports ISO mounting... But does it also support native ISO browsing?? And, can we edit the contents of an ISO image like for example, adding or deleting a file and then re-building the ISO image?? Will Windows 8 support .rar files natively??
So you are saying that Paul and Rafael are sitting at home doodling fake screenshots in Photoshop? LOL
LOL, Rafael is posting about the features, and Paul is mirroring the posts. Rafael is the one who deserves all the credit because he's the one putting the time and research into uncovering this stuff.
Photoshop? No lol..... real pictures of old builds can leak without to have a clue what's about w8 recently.. to have real pictures doesn't mean to have a real recent build...and you can copy real pictures without to have the build.
We don't know which one of them is contributing what parts, but they are working together and the result are good articles. It seems irrelevant which builds these feature come from. The point is that they are documenting them and publishing the info, which is more than I can say for any of the other guys that have builds. All they do is post screenies and drop a comment here and there.
Seriously, i wish MS includes ISO mounting functionality in Windows 7 Service Pack 2 also... What do you think??? And it will be a bit of disappointment if ISO editing is not implemented...
Hello ie9, all on this photo have the last unlocked ISO For the people in the photo, we know you're reading this all here. h t t p : / / img8.imageshack.us/i/96847677.jpg
Will there be new gadgets or just the updated versions of the ones shipped with Vista & 7?? And, any news about Windows 7 SP2?? With Windows 8 on the horizon, will MS add new features to Windows 7 SP2 or will it keep all new features to Windows 8?? To sell a new OS, you have to have new features... Nobody's gonna pay just for the cosmetic elements and silly things like ISO mounting, PDF support etc. C'mon MS, innovate!! Its been a while since you've come out with a ground breaking feature... Win 7 was just the refined and corrected version of Vista... It didn't have anything substancially new... And the other thing is, A LOT of people have migrated to Windows 7... Now, the challenge to make them upgrade to Win 8 will be the toughest for MS in its history! Only through innovative new features can this challenge be dealt with... I wonder to what extent can MS innovate!!!
MS stopped adding OS features with XP SP2, doubt they'll go back to doing that or they'd be undercutting their own Win 8 sales.
Its a shame really... The entire world looks upto the world leader in OS, and every single time Microsoft disappoints them. People do upgrade to the newer Windows versions, but how many of them are happy users is the question! What's so shameful is that without third party tools, Windows can never survive. These WinRAR, Adobe Reader, 7Zip, Free Download Manager, BurnAware, VLC MediaPlayer, DriveScanner, PowerISO, K-Lite Codec pack etc etc are the lifeline of every Windows PC... Wouldn't it be amazing if the features these tools/softwares offer, are actually implemented by Windows itself natively???
I don't know if I agree on all your apps listed, but yeah you will always need 3rd party apps. On the other hand if it were 'full featured' there'd be monopoly lawsuits.
Yes, you're right on this. I actually forgot about the monopoly lawsuits... But still, some of the functionality of these apps can be implemented... And for users requiring full features, they're free to install these apps. Now, again I go back to innovation. So, if MS can't implement what I mentioned above due to 'monopoly lawsuits', then what more can it bring to the users?? Maybe then it has to fine tune Windows for performance and security... Maybe only performance and security can then sell Windows. Its been 10 years since something of a WOW OS from MS... 10 years of disappointment. Will Windows 8 make us scream WOW, is a big question!!!
