I know you probably meant build 8000.
Beta will most likely be 8100. M3 is far from finished, it's only gone through a month of development and barely 30 builds.

he means if all apps were "portable apps" ( they do not need to register dll.s etc ) then you would never, ever need to update to a new version of windows and that Microsoft are aware of this fact.

You think that Win8 can be the perfect OS and nobody will buy Win9. But MS knows that too. You can be sure, we will buy Win8 and Win9 and Win10 and... :) First, because no OS is perfect (no human is perfect, so no delevoper and manager is perfect, so no MS OS is perfect) and I guess second, because of the Planned Obsolescence (which means, that MS could probably build an almost-perfect Windows, but they don't want to do it, because they couldn't sell much Win9 copies).

It's more like they can't make a revolutionary product because they have to keep some backwards compatibility. The same as with all modern OS, you don't see OS X or Ubuntu doing radical changes, but small evolutionary steps. They want as many users as possible on the latest version of their OS. If they change it too much at once it will turn off a hell of a lot of prospective customers.

Good point. I would say, it's a whole bunch of reasons, why there will be no perfect OS. Another reason is, that times are changing. Maybe XP SP1 was back in 2002 an almost perfect OS. But in 2011, it's a bit old, no good x64 compatibility, no this and that... So there will be always room for a new version of Windows.

A perfect Windows is that it has no REG, dll with all programs being portable and installed in their own files. M$ presently has the ability to create Windows 8 as that perfect Windows. However if Windows 8 is so perfect, no one will ever buy Windows 7 and Windows 9. This shows that M$ is very wicked and cunning and will not release all newer must-have features. That way, the features will only be introduced In Windows 9 or later, so that customers will keep on buying newer versions of Windows, ensuring endless profit for M$.

Thanks, chinese for telling us these insiders tips. Post more of them as much as you can. Thanks. :D

Yes, OK. Don't get me wrong, it is nothing personal. I like most of your posts here.:)

It's just the way 'news' are created. These are no news, it are assumptions.

Nobody can say something about that obviously does NOT exist yet.

But you can be proud of your post: A German site (CB) already has used your 'news' to write an article about. There it seems to be a fact now.....
    See what I mean?
