Now that I see the new Desktop inteface without Aero in the RTM for the first time, it simply knocks me off my feet. Never in my entire life have I seen anything that's even remotely so f**king ugly! No wonder they didn't include it in the previews, people would have run away screaming. Even Windows 3.1 was lightyears ahead in the aesthetic department. Thanks to Classic Shell I was finally able to make my peace with the Metro start screen, since it never even pops up, and now this... gadgets are gone as well... holy crap, I sincerely hope they burn in hell.
M$'es terms of 'innovation': After XP add stylish features to polish up the style. Terminate the huge hardware development steps of the CPU / GPU performance which had been made that time, in that way that the end user can still recognize a bit of accelleration. Then with w8 revoke that unprofessionally programmed code and let the people believe w8 had become faster!!! Only noobs can be fooled by this. The gain of acceleration you might encounter at w8 had been present all the time!!! M$ never has had good programmers. The acceleration is loacted in the hardware development and unveils at w8.
Installed in Hyper-V (Win8 RP host) and the window doesn't automatically resize to fit the window (like my win7 x64 Hyper-V install does). Changing the resolution makes no difference
meh not stable....computer freezes (BSOD) while listening to music in winamp, firefox hardware acceleration is not working, yahoo messenger not working...
