for online updates: BypassESU-v11 (Server 2008R2 is used in WHS 2011) https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-extended-security-updates-eligibility.80606/
Well, no. WHS 2011 and his (better) brother Storage Server Essentials 2008R2, had the unique feature of working w/o a domain (the former can't join a domain at all, the latter can join a domain optionally), for many people a domain at home is a huge complication, especially people who has a domain account in the office, and moves the notebook back and forth from home to work.
Aside that, if you have a server 2011 running for years, it's supposedly already updated (at least to pre ESU situation). Given how the installation works in the special 2011 servers (WHS 2011, Storege Server Essentils 2008R2, Small business server 2011 and MultiPoint Server 2011) I don't think in place upgrades are a good idea in general. You may end getting more troubles than ones you're getting to solve. My personal suggestion is to get the ESUs "normally" or start a fresh installation with a updated ISO.
