As explained before in the thread, you need to install the language pack (lp.cab) afterwards. Yes, even if you already have it installed.
Thanks, i'll try. Btw, it's not even mentioned in offline method (the thing that you have to reinstall the language pack).
Since your query was about using online method, you need to reinstall the language pack after installing the required packages as mentioned in the first post. In offline method, if the language pack you are using is the default language English, then it's not required to reinstall the language pack because when you integrate the packages and install the OS it will automatically install the language pack from the LangPack folder in the root. Only when you are using a different language pack you need to integrate the language pack.

Does anyone know how to enable Hibernation in Windows Thin PC??? I tried the command Code: POWERCFG -H ON and restarted, but the Hibernate option still doesn't show up! Does it need any additional packages? Or maybe it's working fine but it's a driver problem?
Are these the correct ISOs of Thin PC and Embedded Standard from which I can install packages from Embedded in Thin PC? Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1 Runtime (x86 ) - DVD (English) Release Date: 3/9/2011 File Name: en_windows_embedded_standard_7_sp1_runtime_x86_dvd_651894.iso SHA1: 828311930602A92278E6857AE5CF1338C021AD09 Windows Thin PC (x86) - DVD (English) Release Date: 7/1/2011 File Name: en_windows_thin_pc_x86_697681.iso SHA1: CC181653C1BAAF85337CDA069E35D0D94F99CCA9
I answered my own question by installing ThinPC on Virtual PC 2007, then adding the Search Bar (winemb-natural-language.cab + winemb-search.cab). On the other hand, I tried to install .NET Framework 3.5 with Client Profile and 2 packages failed: winemb-iis-was.cab - failed after restart (reverted changes) winemb-netfx30.cab - failed after restart (reverted changes) winemb-netfx30client.cab - installed ok winemb-netfx35.cab - installed ok winemb-netfx35client.cab - installed ok Could there be a dependency missing in the 1st post?
Is there any way to manually add the "Repair my computer" option at boot? I manually created the 100mb partition and set it as active before installation, but other than that I don't know what else to do. EDIT: by the way, how can I check if I'm running Thin PC from a batch? I usually check with the output from the VER command, but Windows 7 SP1 and Thin PC report the same version, 6.1.7601. I tried SET to check for exclusive variables but didn't find any. Maybe a registry key? (Found it! REG QUERY HKLM\Software\Microsoft\ThinPC /v Version)
Does anybody know how to enable Readyboost in Windows Thin PC? Is this something I can add using one of the Feature packages?
I don't know anything about Readyboost I'm afraid. Just wanted to join in this thread, since I am also using ThinPC. In my case, I am adding in a feed of RemoteApps from the 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services host. Generally, it's working well, but the video performance (video files in WMP and youtube videos) is quite stuttery, and glitchy. It seems like I should be able to benefit from RemoteFX. We have the most recent RDP client installed (http: * * //support.microsoft.com/kb/2592687/en-us#New-Features [without permission to post links, remove * s and spaces]) into ThinPC SP1, and that page says clearly that Windows 7 SP1 clients can use RemoteFX. "This update introduces the following features for remote computers that are running Windows 7 SP1:RemoteFX Media Streaming" But, I don't know if that applies to ThinPC SP1. Does anyone have any experience of that?
I am trying to remove the remote assistance package using the command "dism / online / Remove- Package /PackageName:WinEmb-RemoteAssistance~31bf3856ad364e35~x86" but I can not! Appears the error " Processing 1 of 1 - An error occurred - WinEmb - RemoteAssistance Error : 0x800f082. Error:0x800f0825.DISM failed. In operation was Performed.
