Unbelievable, #62 post + 1 mine and still talking about the false positive issue not the Update Minitool.
Tried to share info about this tool over on the Tenforums and it was censored. (Removed with no explanation given)
For what I briefly tested yesterday, it works. Then M$ most likely is chasing it through out the whole Internet to put it down.
Here is the reply I got to a private message to a Tenforums administrator: It was removed because of the questionable site it's hosted on. We can't risk exposing our members to a potential security risk. If they ever have the program hosted on a trusted site, then it'll be fine.
Thx for this little tool my WU is broken so this helped Dafuuq it even fixed for me getting an update every time for insiders build that would not get away !! Kudoos for that
For what? 7 and 8.1 have the usual and wanted features in WU system. In contrast, this tool offers those features which Windows 10 lacks, that's the reason of its existence.
Today I downloaded the file from megaupload - Scanned with avira - CLEAN !! Checked on Virustotal and found: SHA256: 2845d080c79c1992f319c0103701308d6d4a06af624771c460841ffe8dc73589 File name: wumt_x86.exe Detection ratio: 0 / 56 Analysis date: 2015-09-07 15:11:07 UTC ( 2 minutes ago ) SHA256: c1abb00f39844e9684d90ad47218966dd41328d29ed30a37d36413da879a3de0 File name: wumt_x64.exe Detection ratio: 0 / 56 Analysis date: 2015-09-07 15:13:31 UTC ( 3 minutes ago ) (Sorry ! Can't believe what's going on to you people with this false positive issue which is a problem of the hoster (rghost.net) not the file itself. @shewolf I suggest to make things clearer in your first post for people stop spamming with this annoying topic once and for all. Also make clear to not post good A/V results either.
I prefer the way this tool works as opposed to anything that Microsoft offers. After using this tool I find Windows Update in Windows 7 and 8.1 to be cumbersome. Since it uses the standard wusa service it seems it would be relatively "easy" to make it work for Windows 7 and 8.1. Having said all that, in the end it is probably just my OCD showing its ugly head.
Omg... I will try this when I get home from work... I have so many problems with my laptop (Fujitsu NH532) because of this forced shi..y windows 10 updates.. Drivers for Nvidia GT640M-LE not compatible, KB3081448 not installing and then reverting changes, same goes for KB3081449. Windows update manager app not helping at all. Even with disabled driver update, still trying to install them. I think i have 3 more weeks to go back to 8.1 if things don't get fixed.
I never went to 10, just for testing though lol I've always been in 8.1 since its release and planning to stay right there for a long times to come.
