First of all, thankyou @shewolf for making this wonderful tool. It has been very useful! At the moment i'm facing an issue I can't seem to solve, maybe one of you can give me some input/help. I used the Windows Update MiniTool to upgrade a Windows XP SP2 to SP3 and install all the basic/critical updates. Now I found out about the POSready Windows XP hack/tweak, which is basically adding a registry key. This adds critical/security updates up until 2019 to Windows XP machines. Problem is, once you activate the POSready tweak, the automatic windows update service (wuaserv/svchost) seems to glitch out. CPU usage builds up to 100% thus making the PC come to a complete crawl. Now this is where things get interesting, i've tested this on a few different PC's, and some PC's have no trouble finding the POS/Embedded updates with the Windows Update MiniTool (even with the 100% CPU load). Yet other PC's seem to search for updates for eternity and never find any to install. Do you guys have any idea's for a workaround, or how I could force Windows Update MiniTool to find the updates? PS: I installed a fresh Windows XP SP2 on a virtual machine, downloaded all of the Windows Updates, applied the POSready tweak, downloaded all the POS/Embedded updates, and then put them all on a USB. Then I put all of the downloaded updates on the yet-to-be updated machine under Softwaredistribution/Downloads, yet Windows Update MiniTool still doesn't find the updates. I also installed some Internet Explorer security updates (which to some people a couple years ago fixed it, but that doesn't seem to work anymore). Thanks in advance to anyone willing to put any thought into this! (I know Windows XP is more of a hassle, and shouldn't be used anymore, but this really is an exceptional situation).

@Nelske Perhaps you missed the point - it can also be used to upgrade an already running SP2/SP3 based installation.

So it depends on the scenario. I use a fully updated ISO and when the cumulative update of IE8 becomes obsolete I have this problem. And I do not install updates for Office 2007 that can be it.
Hello, Many thanks for WSUS. If anyone has an answer to two simple questions I would appreciate it. First, is there a way to check the software version. The download link on google drive only shows a zip file name wumt.zip, it doesn't show a version name and I don't see a version shown on the actual program itself. Second, my primary use for WSUS is to be able to store updates for a retired OS (Windows Home Server) off line (which I have successfully downloaded with WSUS). My question now is, should I need to install them on a future fresh OS install now that they are downloaded, how do I do that? Sorry for a noob question, any arrow pointing would be appreciated.
