Hello @debianuser... SLIC 1F6EF000, 0176 (r1 HPQOEM SLIC-MPC 1 LOHR 0) XSDT 1F6FE120, 006C (r1 HPQOEM SLIC-MPC 1 1000013) As you can see there is already present SLIC at your bios, but it might be incomplete. Try running some kind of memory dump program and dump the segment begining from FFF00000h and size 100000h so we can find out if the SLIC table is complete. And if it is, than you won't need any bios modding or patching. BTW. Save the dumped memory as ASCI with a hex editing program and upload please. I cant recomend any program for you to use so you can achive all this, couse I'm not a debian user...

Cant activate I have acer aspire 4930 laptop. I used your wow6, it activates non sp1 version with no problem. But if i update to sp1 and use wow it activates for first time and then it deactivates. I used everest and found out there is no slic table present. But there is something NSLI - UNKNOWN. My bios version is 1.20. Please I need your help.....
Really? Can anybody confirm that WoW doesn't work anymore using SP2 (but has worked before!) THanks...
WoW6 worked on Vista SP2 I installed Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and the activation is still working. I am using WoW 6.01 on HP Compaq 6510b, Windows Vista Ultimate x86.
HP550 success story Hi, I just wanted to send a feedback. After trying around 50 different patches, I found your forum and installed wow6. I have my Vista Ultimate SP1 x64 activated in my HP550 notebook . Thanks Yen and all the crew, You did a fantastic job.
You're welcome. I think wow will be still a good solution for many users who cannot mod their bios.....or don't want to risk to flash a biosmod.
Just a litle feedback... I've applied WOW6 on a dozen of Vista SP1 installs over the last 3 or 4 months and I haven't had any prblems after upgrading to SP2. So IMHO, if WOW is applied properly and it worked on SP1, it will continue to work after upgrading to SP2. One more success story...
thanks for the feedback all will upgrade to SP2 this weekend, and post the result. btw, the non-Genuine message always appears for me after a reboot though i dont have any issues when shutting down and then starting the computer. is this normal?
Hi, I read almost all the pages of this usefull post, but i'm still missing something... I wish to install Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit with SP2 integrated on my HP HDX-X18-1280EL notebook. What's the correct procedure? Can I follow the "standard" one also with SP2 integrated or have I to install a SP1 edition of Vista, WOW-it, and THEN install the SP2??? Tanks a lot...
Yes you can follow the 'standard' one... I suggest to peoples who want to update to SP2 from an SP1 installation: 1. Un-install wow, reboot 2. Install SP2 3. Install wow again.
Does not work... I did a fresh install of vista(ultimate), which also has Windows XP installed on a seperate physical drive. As soon as the instaqllation finished(no sp1), i tried the wow patch. I noticed that the product id changed, but my copy is still uncracked.... I did not try any of the other bootloaders on this installation, so there is no question of any other loader interfearing with wow. I have attached the Vista Activation Report. Just to give you an idea, here is my system details- MB - ASUS p5B Deluxe/WiFi bios vesion - AMI v1238 Please lete me know what seems to be the issue. Thanks for help!!
Can anyone pls explain me what i need to download for my HP 550 activation? What WOW patch? And what I need to do after i download that patch. Please
