I'm using the new BIOS (release on 15 August 2008) on 6520s which shares the same bios like 6720s and it works (SP1)! WoW also survived from windows update and validated by Microsoft. Thanks all.

MBR version is now discontinued because some users are using other bootloader as well.
    I've removed all previous versions.
    Latest versions are:

    5.2 for boot floppy
5.2.1 for NOMBR version. It doesn't rename anything and is the best way to run it.

Works like a charm on 6720S. :) Was a bit confusing at first but figured it eventually.

Thanks for feedback. If I can do any improvements regarding instructions, let me know. We want to keep WoWs experimental touch. (Apply cert. and key manually, menu.lst to fit if needed).
A very easy one click version will surely cause a sensation.......
I'll release 5.2.1 as visible version as well, for those who have trouble with the installation (multiboot, Mac OS) to see the screen messages.....also I'll make the boot CD....

    WoW is now really good.:)

    Yen,

    1) Can I use 5.2.1 NO MBR as well? Because I'm currently using the MBR version 5.2 since I've Vista only OS in the hard disk (No Multi OS Boot).

    2) Are the text is invisible or visible in NO MBR 5.2.1?

    3) I see the text during 2 time splash screen (MBR 5.2):
    - 1st time splash screen I see one "NTFS 5" text
    - 2nd time splash screen I see one "0" text

    Thanks bro!

    Dear Yen,
I just purchase a compaq cq20-116tu, it's with latest bios. and just tried activating windows vista sp1 by the ver 5.2.2, I just extracted all of the files ( such as install, uninstall) to the root C drive ( not in wow folder) and after clicking on install, a dos windows appears and disappears in a flash, does it mean I've successfully installed wow?

After that, I did the two commands mentioned by you and both were successful. I rebooted afterwards as mentioned by you, then my laptop is not bootable anymore, luckily I also burnt your recovery cd so I was able to boot back into vista. After checking the activation status, its still unactivated. :(

Let me know what I've done wrong? and how to do it right?

    Yen,

WoW 5.2.2 NO MBR works with Vista only OS in the hard disk. The text also TOTALY invisible. I repeated, INVISIBLE!. I just can see underscore "_" blinking on upper left corner once and upper center once. Then it just booted into the OS. :) :D :)

You have to install wow by double click on the exe. Do NOT extract the exe. Choose your path for install C: \

Boot again with CD, install WoW again. You must not change the wow5 folder. Remove CD and reboot.
If it's not activated, we need a AcpiSope report.

Ariff Yes, I know, just a moving '_' from boot process :D

    Thanks for your report!

Ok, that sounds plausible. I'll give that a go.

INT 09 is the keyboard call. Grub is in conflict with drivers used by Dos on your computer (Your bios and memory are responsible, this is why we didn't find this problem before)

    @Yen & @Flagmax :
    What/where version of io.sys and command.com you use ?

    EDIT :
    Ok version 4.10.2222 => windows 98
Perhaps test with 4.90.3000 => millenium => floppy create by XP
You can also delete msdos.sys in the floppy image ?
Or wait for a grub update.

    So...

I've got a fresh install of Vista x64 (with all updates except SP1 installed) on an ASUS P5QC motherboard and after installing WoW5.2.2, the system hangs at boot, stuck on the green bar on black Vista loading screen if left to load normally.

The Safe Mode loader screen also hangs, freezing the counter as soon as you try to move the selection cursor or select the default option.

Repairing the MBR and Boot Sector from the Repair Console allows Vista to boot again.

Am I missing anything? Should I install SP1 before trying to proceed again?

    * Second verse, same as the first, system hangs on 5.2.3

I have tried this method by following all instructions included a few times on my Asus P5QL-PRO+Vista Ultimate(Retail) x64, and it has failed every time (15 days to activate).

I see that you want an AcpiScope output -- how would I acquire this?

I was using 5.2.2 but the .3 change is just the included sys files, seems no modification done to the RAM patcher in this version?

Let me know how I can help.

    Thanks.
