or, install .NET 4 ESU Bypass, then install .NET 4 updates (manually or from WU), then remove .NET 4 ESU Bypass[/QUOTE]

I had installed - dotNetFx4 ESU Bypass to install .NET 4.x ESU updates
today : Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB4484377) 32-bit Edition
and also an adobe acrobat update
    msiexec.exe not working
just right-click on remover.cmd and "Run as administrator"
    it works now thanks

Is Bybass ESU V4 still the latest version of this script?

Could someone tell me which ESU upgrades I should install? I haven't installed updates in 4 months.

I would be grateful if someone would give me the right links to the right ESU updates. update numbers.

My computer is Windwos 7 Professional 64bit

    Thanks! :)

You can carefully read the first post of this thread (page 1) and all the necessary steps are perfectly explained. Regards.

This is what works well for my after doing a clean install of Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit and then getting it completely up-to-date to its January 2020 EOL.
I have used these same steps in 3 different PC's in the past week.
Make sure to read the comments at the bottom before you start.

Make sure Windows 7 SP1 is completely up-to-date to its January 2020 EOL.
That includes the January 2020 SSU (KB4536952).

Obtain and then run the BypassESU-v5 tool.
Right-click on "LiveOS-Setup.cmd" and then click "Open" and then select number 1:
    [1] Full Installation {ESU Suppressor + WU ESU Patcher}

Install the post-EOL updates in the exact same order as they are listed:

    February 2020 updates:
    IE11.0.175 (KB4537767)
    SMQR (KB4537820)
    SSU (KB4537829).

    March 2020 updates:
    IE11.0.180 (KB4540671)
    SMQR (KB4540688)
    SSU (KB4550735).

    April 2020 updates:
    IE11.0.185 (KB4550905)
    SMQR (KB4550964)
    SSU (KB4550738).

    May 2020 updates:
    IE 11.0.190 (KB4556798)
    SMQR (KB4556836)
    SSU (KB4555449)

Obtain and then run the BypassESU-v7 tool.
Right-click on "LiveOS-Setup.cmd" and then click "Open" and then select number 7:
[7] Install .NET 4 ESU Bypass

    IMPORTANT!
The BypassESU-v7 tool cannot be installed until AFTER the May 2020 SSU (KB4555449) is installed because that update is required so the tool can work with post-EOL .NET Framework 4.8 updates.
Make sure to stop the Windows Update service from running BEFORE running the bypass tool and BEFORE installing each post-EOL update.
Make sure to restart the computer AFTER running the bypass tool and AFTER installing each post-EOL update.

You will also find it useful to read the first post of this branch (page 1):
    - LiveOS-Setup.cmd will remove BypassESU-v4 if detected, and override KB4528069-Lite if present

For yourself, find out how Security Only and IE Cumulative differ from Monthly Rollup. Then you will do less unnecessary things and give less "useful" advice.

Updates after the SP1 Rollup are cumulative so you don't need to install each month; just the most recent update. That is why the Monthly Quality and Security update each month is 300+ MB in size.

I am sticking with v5 of BypassESU since v7, even if one does not install the .NET 4 ESU Bypass option, causes issues with Windows Installer when trying to install or uninstall programs.

Question: “Why don’t people read the first post?” ... there are only “writers” around ... “readers” less and less ...
How do you get into this thread? all the answers on the first page!
    ...

... it can be written through a post - the result is zero. Already very annoying.

Someone else had this issue... turned out it was the version of the extractor, try updating it.

This is a correction to what I said in post #3483.

If the Security Monthly Quality Rollup is installed, the Internet Explorer 11 update does not need to be installed because the SMQR already contains the update for IE11.

I was not aware of this until yesterday after reading a Microsoft article.

I've been doing unnecessary extra work for the past 4 months.

    I'm always learning something new.

Uninstall BypassESU v7. Then you should be able to install the new program.

Hello, I've been using the LiveOS integration and for the past day or so whenever I try to get updates it says: "Unable to get updates." and then pops up with a windows that says "Unsupported hardware: Your PC uses a processor that's designed for the latest Windows..."

That means you probably used wufuc to be able to install/update win 7 on non supported hardware.

What's wufuc? And how exactly do I fix this because it was working fine just before for like 2 or more weeks.
