I tried at my son's computer with extreme gamer and it doesn't recognise hardware at all, but it is recognise in device manager. I read on reddit that some people also have a same problem. Some say it is working.
I upgraded yesterday to 1903 with same sound-card installed as you. No problems detected, everything still works as it should. So no idea why it does not work with you.
Finally decided to try new drivers with 1903 versions/clean install and fortunately my extreme music working with new drivers. And daniel_k 4.0 suite also works with driver. But extreme gamer on my son's computer doesn't work. But we managed to have sound in other way. Good news after all
I have X-Fi Xtreem Audio and new drivers didn't work with me, so i used the very old cd drivers that came with the card, sound is working but not the settings like EQ not working Tried to update it with the official update but that broke the sound completely so rolled the driver back and tested SupportPack 1.2 by Daniel_K and finally it's working
Very strange why it does not work with some people, i just use the original updated drivers from creative. And i have no problems with anything in Windows v1903. Keep fingers crossed...
Xtreme Audio is not a true XFi. It does not have CA20K1 (PCI) or CA20K2 (PCIE) chipset. So far, only those have drivers for Win 10 v1903. Drivers for 20K1 are still in beta and not listed on the creative support site.
If you mean this one, yes. It's an extreme music I got out of an old Dell, and the driver works great. But I'm using it on LTSB, not LTSC.
I've seen a fix on tenforums by user 'AxelD' and have tried it myself, which thankfully fixed the issue indefinitely on my system: "1. Install Daniel K's X-Fi Series Support Pack. Pick the the softwares you want. (Dunno' if choosing the audio driver is important or not for this step.) Let it install. Audio driver should still not be working at this stage. 2. Download XFRL_PCDRV_L11_3_00_2022B.exe. Run it and follow the instructions. After restarting everything worked, including the softwares provided by the support pack!" Hope it helps! (I cannot yet post links, so in the meantime, copy and paste the info above into google and you'll find it easily, or copy and paste 'AxelD tenforums creative' and you'll find the post in which the user talked about this. Their post # is 34.)
Has anybody managed to get some sort of equalizer working on X-Fi? For such a great sound card, I don't understand why it doesn't have at at least basic eq included in the drivers. The bass and treble adjustments don't count as an eq.
With 1903 Microsoft is pushing for base drivers & all other apps pushed through the Microsoft Store. Are you blocking anything?
I block everything and use LTSC because I'm allergic to the store and store apps. I installed the X-FI driver released 3 days ago on June 25. What do I need to unblock to get eq?
Sorry I'm not sure for the X-Fi, I've got a Realtek with creative. I just install the driver offline (Audit mode) but when I connect to internet as an end user I get Sound Blaster Connect (EQ) and Realtek Audio Console through WU. These can be found on the Store. I also have Realtek with Nahimic but manually need to go to the Store to download the Nahimic app even though wu updates some other related crap (A-Volume or something)...
