@Tito you are an admin and the OP of this thread. can you please stop this Key spam postings and other violations against the MDL rules and please delete also all spam postings - key spam - thanks spam - out of topic postings - postings with no relevant content (eg only picture like #70 or #75) - chit-chat postings (like #76) it is absolute not interesting and out of topic) - etc. I'm not the only one who felt that this thread (and other threads) becomes more and more unreadable Thanks in advance
I don't know if my post qualifies for vanelle here, but I just spent 3 hours of downloading, making a .iso, installing just to realize it's been all for nothing and for a bloody 17.1 Preview Somehow it didn't download RTM which is 17.0 but instead the 17.1 Preview. s**t like that makes me furious, I know when I downloaded I got the right setup bootstrapper vs_enterprise.exe My entire night is ruined, I couldn't care less for VS 2022 now. Why for the love of god did they stop making official isos?
at the same reason why they stop making 3.5'' floppy disk by the way can anybody send me the setrup disk 43 of 51200 (or were it now 51727 flopys)
Since VS 2017 things change too quickly : downloaded once ISOs would contain outdated binaries... Better way is generating 'on schedule' VS layout whether you need offline/lan installs. Or best use direct online scripted setup when light fast internet connection, and keep your own storage free !
Changes too quickly? Please, the same goes with all software. What's next? Making your own iso files for everything because it changes so fast. Things have really gone for the worst. I think you are the only one laughing. I don't really think you understand the meaning of slow internet and poor bandwich. I sure as hell ain't laughing, I spent precious free time for absolutely nothing. I think it was a fair question, asking why they don't provide finished isos like they used to. But please continue mocking!
Has anyone made successful ISO of Visual Studio 2022 using Oscdimg.exe or PowerISO, it's giving long file name error. With Visual Studio 2019, the above two tools created the ISO properly.
Hint: using an USB-Stic as a offline Installation is probaply a better choice than always make ISO's all updats will automatic apply (only the updats) to the offline installation point But everyone can do what he like (it can also happen to download the wrong ISO )
Every 3-5 weeks we get new builds with added SDK modules, in this case pre-built ISO's don't cut it but making your own ISO is easy and its good that MS releases it the way they do as most folks don't want a 30gb-50gb download that keeps morphing. Also most ISO creation apps fail to build 2022 due to long folder names.
ISO Workshop ended up not giving me that error and the path was displaying correctly within the ISO, odd how only this app worked.
Ok, well I still got my perfect made iso of VS 2019 and it's not even 4GB and still manage to contain everything I need. Regarding the iso I made for VS 2022, not only were it a preview but also the installer still complained about missing components despite the fact I made sure to include both optional and recommended components. Now that is some pure horse menure right there.
Thanks for the info will try with it. Those who are looking for complete Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 RTM (17.0.31903.59) en-US and ru-RU ISO can get it from the below link by WZor **Removed** might want to google it It contains both Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 RTM (17.0.31903.59) Regular and LTSC versions, the ISO size will be around 25 GB
Ok guys it's finally finished, my download of VS 2022 with Managed Desktop, Native Desktop and WebNet and the iso is made (I made sure to check that it was RTM and not a preview) Is there a way to uninstall both VS 2019 and the preview I made of VS 2022 17.1 cleanly before I install VS 2022 RTM? I really really want this to be something special and want things to proceed smoothly!
