I installed from index 1 originally, the one the script modified, and that's the one that hangs on the install, never gets past 'Getting Ready', what I mean I think there is an issue with the script.
Can someone let me know what is the difference for: 1) en_windows_10_business_edition_version_1809_updated_sept_2018_x64_dvd_d57f2c0d.iso, 4.6GB 2) en_windows_10_enterprise_LTSC_2019_x64_dvd_74865958.iso, 3.6GB I want to upgrade my LTSB 2016 x64 to LTSC 2019 x64. which ISO I should get? thanks a lot in advance.
Thanks, whitestar. yes, I understand the LTSC. I just wanted to know which ISO I should get for the LTSC 2019. are those 2 ISO (business edition vs. enterprise LTSC) for the same product, LTSC 2019? thanks.
The build version may be the same, but enterprise LTSC is a stripped down edition of the business or consumer edition.
@KedarWolf Have you seen my reply? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...rprise-n-ltsc-2019.76325/page-70#post-1473396
I can't tell you the difference, but #2 works great for me. Finally got my (last) retail Pro on a 5 year old laptop "Updated" to this without losing anything. Being on 2015/2016 with other boxen, this is an improvement (as long as you apply a few tweaks). Will prolly upgrade the rest as time permits...
We were all "noobs" once, so relax. MANY are here to help as long as you help yourself. Create a bootable USB from the ISO, copy your \sources\install.wim somewhere, and do the deed. Rename the original "install.wim" on the USB drive to "original.wim," and place the modified "install.wim" in the \sources folder. Boot it and good to go
As you mention this, there is a new helper : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...e-switch-core2pro-upgrade-up-downgrade.78147/
Windows 10 1809 LTSC uses a lot less disk space on my SSD than previous Windows (1803). Is this a new compression thing or is it just because it hasn't received too many space hogging updates?
