Hello. After my many tests, the latest working build is 22621.2283 (you can immediately include the update in the image on uupdump.net) In order for the installation to be successful, it is recommended to remove the Windows Apps via the menu rather than the PackageList. You can delete everything except: FirstLogonAnimation ClientCBS CloudExperienceHost ShellExperienceHost StartMenuExperienceHost UndockedDevKit
@MSMG Are you the developer? You are reading this forum? Have to send him bug reports etc.via mail? @f0ness Okay, thank you. Also noticed that additional to ClientCBS, ClientWebExperience always bugs during removal; got tot keep it too. I kinda figured it out myself that I removed too much stuff (via "custom component removal" and "ToolKitHelper Method/PackageList" ). Made a new iso where I kept a bit more components, especially the OOBE ones (for first Windows installation) and now it worked.
Really, I want to remove Cortana, auto... anything, I don't recall what all I removed last time. I'd honestly remove everything I could if I knew what all I could dump without breaking stuff. Also, last time I went through all this I was able to add back in old features from 7. Like regular ol' MS paint. I don't see those options either. Do I need to get an ISO from somewhere else?
Thanks to your post I managed to understand the alternative way to use msmg in an updated iso. I did a test with the latest 19045, removed several packages and it worked.
The selected source image build does not support custom component removal, However it supports DISM component removal. For component removal, use Remove Windows Components using Package List (DISM Method) menu. Do you want to continue ? ['Y'es/'N'o] 23h2 aint supported by toolkit as far as i know thats why
Due to an emergency, I had to move to my native village as my family is dealing with clearing an encroachment in our farm land. Here there is limited network connectivity and frequent power-cuts, also I don't have a proper PC here to work on Toolkit program. So there won't be updates to Toolkit for another two to three months, will be trying my best to update the Toolkit ASAP.
I'm really sorry to hear about the situation you're facing @MSMG . Take all the time you need to focus on your family and the farm. Your well-being and your family's are the top priorities. Wishing you strength and a swift resolution to the challenges you're dealing with.
Thank you for taking the time to keep us updated. I hope everything works out well for you and I'm sure we can all wait for just a couple more months for an update. Take care and be safe.
@MSMG, I hope all becomes well with you. and yours. I hope you have happy hollidays in witch ever form they happen to take. and a happy new year. above all, family is the most important. Majid
hi all, a few questions for you all, I am using image version 10.0.19044.3324 will this work with toolkit helper? another question autounattend.xml will this work with manual setup removed? or does manual setup have to be left in for all to work? last question shell exprience host when this component is removed what do you use as a replasement? sorry for the newbish questions! I will be very greatful for your answers, Majid
Hi, Autounattend (from MSMG toolkit) works with manual setup removal, I am using 19045.3693. If you remove shell experience host than taskbar right click and flyouts don't work and on laptops your wifi will not connect, it gives error. you can bypass taskbar issues by installing startisback++ and setting conext menu style to classic but I am unable to find any proper solution for wifi issue. By changing registry value of ReplaceVan to 2 wifi flyout (with old windows 8 style) works but when you connect to any SSID it gives eror, you can use third party tools like homedale to connect wifi if you want.
