To MSMG yep you are correct, I discover this with first RS3 builds when trying remove Hyper-V and IE I have issues with Office and other things so when I make my job using IP Build 16241 I don't remove them therefore none issues Toolkit v7.5 works fine here in another hand I conclude that Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB is the better O.S. until now after make benchmark with Sandra LTSB my overall score is 8.15 kPT and with IP 16241 my overall score is 8.05 kPT
I have UAC disabled which would be the equivalent of using the built-in administrator account and so far no problems using the MSMG Toolkit. PS: However running VMware with UAC enabled with a common account and running as administrator the drag-and-drop feature does not work. So there may be some side effects in using the built-in administrator account. I need to run VMware as an administrator in order to use Dism to capture a mapped drive. Once done this I need to always run as administrator so I do not have problems. Disabling UAC and using a common account solved my problem with VMware.
I read it now and apologize for not reading it before , Thank you You mentioned that Hyper-V and IE removals give error but Defender also gives error at my side. maybe you can check my post again
Hi. Unfortunately, I am still having the same message that the Win PE package does not found despite of its correct names and location. All packages have been copied into the "packs" folder, "w10", "x86", pl-PL folder. All of its content have been extracted using WinRar. Matthew
Hello. I have ran this program as administrator. I am using clean, unmodified ISO with build number 10.15063.296. What am I doing wrong? I have the AIO version with 13 indexes. If I have to use clean, unmodified ISO, then this means that this program is a bit useless, because each user can have a multiple indexes on a single DVD. Is it right?
The multiple indexes aren't a problem but what might be is that you're trying to add a pack version 15063.0 to a Windows 10 build 15063.296 As a native English speaker, I don't really know much about language pack integration. But I'd be surprised if the build strings didn't have to match. The fact that DISM doesn't try to run, just says the pack can't be found (assuming it is in the right location) suggests MSMG's script is actively searching for only matching build numbers.
Yes, MS has started merging more packages in RS3 and it's making difficult to remove components and may be for defender too it's giving error in the current build.
I had replied about this here https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/page-163#post-1356455 It's due to change in build number it's not working and I had changed the ToolKit code to work with changed build number but left the Language Pack section as changing it will be no use as the refreshed image will contain the updates and Language Packs need to be integrated before the update or else you will have to integrate the updates once again after the Language Packs. Anyway will make changes to the script support refreshed images for Language Packs integration.
Hi MSMG strange here no issues when using IP 16241 now Firewall is renamed to Windows Defender Firewall still I returned to W10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB rapid as one thunder and hope that M$ no obligue us upgrade in next september
Why would one want to put another language in when all 15063.0 + 15063.413 iso's are available in all languages?
Hello. I need to do this, because I have no access to MSDN, but I have 13 indexes in English, so I want to add my native language, which is Polish as I described previously in detail. Matthew
The problem is with the Hyper-V, trying to remove it will result in corrupt image and won't allow to remove any packages further, leaving Hyper-V all other packages can be removed using the current ToolKit. The order of Hyper-V packages need to be changed for RS3 in order to remove it completely without any issues. At present I will disable the option to Remove Hyper-V for RS3 in the next version of ToolKit until a method is worked out.
guys please tell me which apps should i not remove? moreover, it works on "productName": "Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 1703 (Updated June 2017)", "fileId": 72646, "fileName": "en_windows_10_enterprise_version_1703_updated_june_2017_x64_dvd_10720664.iso", right?
After you have MOUNTED THE REGISTRY in MSMG toolkit run this command. Then UNMOUNT REGISTRY, COMMIT and UNMOUNT install.wim Code: reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "AllowCortana" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "AllowCortanaAboveLock" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "DisableWebSearch" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "AllowSearchToUseLocation" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "ConnectedSearchPrivacy" /t REG_DWORD /d "3" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "ConnectedSearchSafeSearch" /t REG_DWORD /d "3" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "ConnectedSearchUseWeb" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search" /v "ConnectedSearchUseWebOverMeteredConnections" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules" /v "Block Cortana ActionUriServer.exe" /t REG_SZ /d "v2.26|Action=Block|Active=TRUE|Dir=Out|RA42=IntErnet|RA62=IntErnet|App=C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\ActionUriServer.exe|Name=Block Cortana ActionUriServer.exe|Desc=Block Cortana Outbound UDP/TCP Traffic|" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules" /v "Block Cortana PlacesServer.exe" /t REG_SZ /d "v2.26|Action=Block|Active=TRUE|Dir=Out|RA42=IntErnet|RA62=IntErnet|App=C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\PlacesServer.exe|Name=Block Cortana PlacesServer.exe|Desc=Block Cortana Outbound UDP/TCP Traffic|" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules" /v "Block Cortana RemindersServer.exe" /t REG_SZ /d "v2.26|Action=Block|Active=TRUE|Dir=Out|RA42=IntErnet|RA62=IntErnet|App=C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\RemindersServer.exe|Name=Block Cortana RemindersServer.exe|Desc=Block Cortana Outbound UDP/TCP Traffic|" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules" /v "Block Cortana RemindersShareTargetApp.exe" /t REG_SZ /d "v2.26|Action=Block|Active=TRUE|Dir=Out|RA42=IntErnet|RA62=IntErnet|App=C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\RemindersShareTargetApp.exe|Name=Block Cortana RemindersShareTargetApp.exe|Desc=Block Cortana Outbound UDP/TCP Traffic|" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules" /v "Block Cortana SearchUI.exe" /t REG_SZ /d "v2.26|Action=Block|Active=TRUE|Dir=Out|RA42=IntErnet|RA62=IntErnet|App=C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\SearchUI.exe|Name=Block Cortana SearchUI.exe|Desc=Block Cortana Outbound UDP/TCP Traffic|" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules" /v "Block Cortana Package" /t REG_SZ /d "v2.26|Action=Block|Active=TRUE|Dir=Out|RA42=IntErnet|RA62=IntErnet|Name=Block Cortana Package|Desc=Block Cortana Outbound UDP/TCP Traffic|AppPkgId=S-1-15-2-1861897761-1695161497-2927542615-642690995-327840285-2659745135-2630312742|Platform=2:6:2|Platform2=GTEQ|" /f reg add "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search" /v "SearchboxTaskbarMode" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f
